OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION

  • Structure Name: Labyrinthian

  • Classification: Secret hideout

  • Location: Pypin

  • Affiliation: Itash Mecetti and Cassandra Paige

  • Accessibility: It’s a secret hideout. No-one but the owners and their chosen confidantes know it exists, let alone how to find it or gain access. It is, perhaps, one of the best concealed bases ever built.

  • Security: There isn’t much in the way of external security, mostly because it’s a, well, secret hideout. Its most daunting form of defense is that it takes the form of a maze – even if a hostile force were to find its location and make their way inside through the turadium blast doors, they would be all but helpless to make their way through the labyrinthian network of corridors, dead ends, and trapped rooms. Internally, the hideout is constructed in layers, each ‘circle’ boasting tighter security and thicker walls. Laser turrets spring from walls and floors, and magnetic seals can be activated to close off whole sections of the structure. Every circle – of which there are four – is also equipped with a self-contained electrical and network system, preventing even the most skilled of slicers from breaching the whole base at once. The complex is also covered with reflec coating to foil any would-be scans from revealing its presence or location.

  • Description: The sprawling Labyrinthian is reminiscent of the roots of a tree; if the tree were a few hundred meters tall, and fashioned entirely from metal and ferrocrete. The latest and greatest in technology graces these secretive halls, allowing for clandestine operations or a retreat from pursuing enemies. Rooms in the inner sanctum of the hideout could almost be described as decadent – they feature luxuries one would be hard-pressed to find even at the most prestigious Coruscanti hotels.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Labyrinthian was built by a mysterious construction company for its current owners. Who exactly they are never came to light, but in the wake of their work, this hardly mattered – the finalized complex was one that fit the ‘elite hideout’ bill to a T. Everything – from security to luxuries unimaginable – was provided within the final product. Truly, the Labyrinthian is a marvel of secret retreat engineering.
