Private Lab time

Nitya Xeraic Nitya Xeraic

Ashley took Nitya into the elevator as alarms sounded through the entire facility as droid guards appeared wielding heavy weapons rolling towards delvins lab. As the sounds of battle could be heard from within as the doors to his lab shut as various force fields erected behind Ashley and nitya sealing off hallways and as they got to the elevator it was locked. "Elevator lock down override alpha Charley echo 5 5 6" she said as the door opened as she pulled nitya inside.

Delvin dodged attacks barely by his creation as its powerful body swung fast towards him he barely had time to think as he shot lightning at the monster making it roar in pain. Its body made to endure pain basically like a biological tank but physical and faster than something its size would suggest he was bleeding. As more tubes opened clearly maintenance had been lacking he stood there breathing heavily "activate omega protocol set timer for 5 minutes originator dominus" he said standing there as he prepared to fight "im sorry nitya" he said as his mind touched hers for but a second.

Ashley stood there with nitya as she saw on the elevator screen pop up omega protocol activated 5 minutes remaining ashley looked at it stunned and shocked "no he wouldn't" she said standing there stunned as a nuclear warning appeared on the screen as the elevator got to the top and the doors opened Ashley carried nitya to the ship she arrived on as fast as she could as the timer hit four minutes as they ran towards the ship.

Nitya felt him before she truly understood what was happening.

It was not a voice, nor a clear message that could be translated into words, but a sudden, aching pressure in her chest as his presence brushed against her mind for the briefest instant, carrying with it regret, resolve, and something that felt dangerously close to farewell. Her steps faltered as the elevator doors slid shut, her hand rising instinctively to her collarbone as though she might somehow hold onto him through the Force alone, unwilling to accept how quickly he had pushed her away from danger and into safety.

"Delvin…" she whispered under her breath, the name leaving her lips without thought.

When the warning symbols flooded the display, and the countdown began, understanding did not strike her in a single moment of clarity. Instead, it settled slowly and relentlessly, like snow piling upon her shoulders until it became impossible to ignore the weight of it. Of course, he would do this. Of course, he would choose to stand alone rather than allow anyone else to be harmed. He had always chosen responsibility over comfort, duty over safety, and others over himself, even when it cost him everything.

Her head shook once in quiet denial, even as her heart accepted what her mind already knew.

"No," she murmured softly, her voice trembling despite her effort to keep it steady. "You do not get to decide that."

As Ashley guided her forward toward the waiting ship, Nitya followed almost automatically at first, her body obeying while her thoughts remained trapped behind sealed doors and force fields, still with him in that lab where he stood alone against something he had created. Every step away from him felt wrong, like a betrayal of everything they had begun to build together, yet she knew he had sent her away because he cared too much to risk her life beside his.

When they reached the ramp, she turned despite herself, searching the distant mountains where the facility lay hidden beneath layers of stone and snow, her golden eyes scanning the horizon as though she might somehow see him through distance and chaos alike. There was no panic in her expression, only fierce determination and a quiet refusal to accept that this was how their story would end.

Closing her eyes, she reached for him through the Force, offering him the only thing she could now.

Connection. Presence. Home.

Not as spoken words, but as a steady, unwavering current of feeling.

I am here. I am waiting. You are not alone.

"I trust you," she whispered into the cold night air. "So come back to me."

As the ship lifted away from the platform, she pressed her palm gently to the viewport, her gaze never leaving the place where he remained behind.

"Come home," she murmured.

As delvin fought lightsaber flowing with surgical precision of a practiced hand of a trained force sensitive surgeon. His lightsaber dealt blows that would kill but leave the body largely unharmed for examination and experimentation later as he bled. As he used sorcery and blade with seconds to spare delvin stood there 6 bodies of creatures he had made littered the ground "deactivate omega alarm progenitor 5 clearance" he said as the ai scanned his body for contamination before deactivating the protocol.

Ashley sat there as looking at nitya nervously as the ship jumped to hyperspace neither knowing what happened as they flew to nityas home. "If he survived and the threat was contained it will be awhile before we hear anything he will have to re secure the lab and figure out what whent wrong" she said. Looking at nitya "I was ordered before you showed up to see you home if something like this happened for both of our safety" she said sitting there as the droids piloted the ship.

Delvin began barking orders angrily as he had his wounds looked at sitting there as scientists and support staff began their job. He was furious maintenance had failed at their job and everyone knew it and they worked scurrying around him like a whipped dog ruining his day with nitya and potentially scaring her off.

As they landed at the star port near nityas home Ashley walked nitya home staying with her and helping her with anything she needed "you have a lovely home nitya im certain delvin will come back" she said standing near nitya.

Nitya stood quietly near the threshold of her home as the last echoes of the ship's engines faded into the night, the familiar sounds of Oralis Prime slowly returning around them. The distant hum of insects, the gentle movement of wind through the trees, and the soft glow of bioluminescent plants along the pathways all felt strangely distant to her now, as though she were observing them through a veil of lingering shock and emotion rather than truly standing within them.

She folded her arms loosely around herself, more for comfort than warmth, her fingers brushing lightly along her sleeves as she drew in a slow, steady breath. The tension she had been holding since the alarms first sounded had not fully lifted yet, but it was beginning to ease, replaced by something quieter and more enduring.

Trust.

She turned her gaze toward Ashley, offering her a small, sincere smile that carried gratitude rather than forced reassurance.

"Thank you," Nitya said softly. "For staying with me. For bringing me home. For… everything."

Her eyes drifted briefly toward the open doorway, where the warm light of her living space spilled out into the night, a gentle contrast to the cold sterility of Arkania's mountains and laboratories.

"I know he will," she continued after a moment, her voice calm and certain despite everything that had happened. "Delvin does not abandon what matters to him. And he would not have sent me away if he did not intend to come back."

There was no desperation in her tone, no fear-laced uncertainty. Only quiet confidence in the man she had come to know.

She stepped inside, then paused, glancing back once more toward the distant stars, as though she might somehow sense him across the void between worlds.

"I will be here," she murmured, more to herself than anyone else. "When he is ready. When the chaos settles. When he can breathe again."

Her golden eyes softened.

"I am in no hurry."

Turning back to Ashley, she inclined her head in a gentle gesture of respect and appreciation.

"You are welcome to rest here tonight if you need to," Nitya added. "This place has room for patience. And for waiting."

With that, she moved further into her home, the familiar peace of Oralis Prime slowly wrapping around her once more, carrying with it the quiet promise that some connections, once forged, were strong enough to endure distance, danger, and time itself.
