DESCRIPTION
The production for this walker was kind of obscure. POM Security working with Kuat Drive Yards to develop something for their more offensive clients, such as the company's Strike Teams. Something that could provide some armor and fight back against an enemy. Thus they began to develop the LA-W. Wanting to make a special weapon to go along with it, they created the I-17 Heavy Shocker to go along with it and be a personal weapon if needed. Maneuverability and force were the two main things he company had in mind. Something that could move almost organically along with the user. Not to be some slow, lumbering, large target.

Being effective at close to medium range combat, the walker was designed with anti-personnel in mind. Unless a vehicle was super conductive that the electricity from the I-17 could shock it badly. However, if someone managed to get a good shot on it with a rocket launcher, the driver wouldn't have a very good day. Being able to completely blow off an arm or leg. Plus if enough blaster fire is focused on it, the walker could overheat and slow down, or stop entirely to cool down. Leaving it in a very bad spot.
