La Connaissance Est le Pouvoir

A Sith shuttle had entered into the atmosphere of Thule. A small transport with a crew of ten, and three passengers. All were Sith. They were here for their own collective reasons.Darth Raven, [member="Darth Praelior"] and [member="Darth Timoris"] . All had one thing in common, which was why Raven, a newly appointed Sith Lord, had collected them with her. Darth Timoris was related to Taelir Raaf, Raven's former master and the former apprentice of Praelior. All of them had a connection with Taelir Raaf when she was a Sith. But in recent years she had devoted herself to a new cause: the Jedi. For Raven the most it had been a grand betrayal. She herself had once been a Jedi padawan before Taelir Raaf, under the name 'Darth Arcanix' had shown her the true power of the Darkside. But now to know that she had turned on her own accord had been a true shot through the heart for Raven, who had grow a secret crush for Taeli before she had done this.
Over the years Darth Raven devoted herself to one cause: revenge. She trained and evolved her skills as a Sith for when she would finally face her former master as an equal. No more then that. She would prove that the darkside was stronger and that she was wrong to turn her back on true power. That was why she was here with the others, to gain that TRUE power. There was something here on Thule. Something ancient. Something she knew that if the Sith had power over it would mean a new age for them. She decided to keep such a thing secret until she was sure she and the others found it, of course.
The shuttle finally set foot about 10 clicks from where the three Sith would explore. The moment it did a small collective of troops stepped pout, securing the area before everyone else had stepped out. Raven was the first, grabbed in her usual attire along with a black hooded robe over her. She stepped out with a beaming air of concealed excitement. As the others would walk out she remained silent while walking forward, looking over the planet itself. In her heart she knew this was it. This would be the day where everything changed.

[member="Darth Raven"]

There was a look in her eyes while Balaya moved in the ship, the massive zeltron sitting there watching the others from behind pale purple eyes. THe two sith with her she wasn't sure about the connection but once they touched down the zeltron climbed out rising to her full height in her armor as fourteen feet of pink skin shined in the under underneath the sun before her cloak closed around her and a massive mane of fiery red hair hung down to her ankles still in tight braids that were adorned with gems and crystal before she was walking with her hands at her sides under the cloak. Darth Raven had assembled them here for something and given that Balaya was one of the alchemists and magic users they had she had some of the better skills. So she was guessing her part of the plan as her voice came out looking down. "And now I am more curious what you have planned Raven? Not many come here."

Melori understood revenge. It was possibly all that kept her alive during her six years of coma. And when she finally awoke, she was greeted by a Sith Lady. Who coincidentally was her older sister that she didn't even know existed.

And whereas the Jedi saw hr talents as feeble, her older sister had nurtured her and shown her the true power she wielded. And she also spent a lot of time trying to get her to tone down her hatred for that middle sister - the prissy, goody-goody one. And then, one day Taeli vanished. To go on a trip of the galaxy she said. To learn about other Force-users she said.

What she failed to say was that she intended to join the Jedi Order. To fight Sith alongside the other one. The rumours soon reached her ears and she faced her in battle. Their Force Bond had allowed the older sister to inflict pain upon her remotely. Melori scoffed out loud and blushed slightly.

So, like the others here, she had reason to wish to see the Jedi Raaf taken down a peg or two, so she needed no motivation to join the crew. So dressed in her usual black and simple robes, she exited the ship and wondered where they were headed. She was sure Raven would tell them in good time. And she suspected the plan would be delicious. She could almost taste it.

"Not any indeed." Raven said, not looking back to either [member="Darth Praelior"] or [member="Darth Timoris"] . "But it's always the places no one ever comes that everyone wishes they had the chance to visit." When she finally turned back her her eyes were a blaze of yellow and a confident smile upon her face. "We're here to find something very powerful. Something to not only benefit the Sith but us as well. I think we all know the one thing we have in common." She walked towards both of them, making sure they were close, before continuing with "We all have our reasons against Jedi Raaf. But this, what we may find here, will be the key to finally bringing her down. I need to know both of you will be with me on this one. Well?" She asked, holding her hand out for them to take.

Listening to the woman there was a look on Balaya's face while she crossed her arms at first standing there. Wanting to hear her out and then there was the hint of a smile showing. "Well I have never turned down a chance to make thing happen." She rather enjoyed playing with some of the more dangerous ones or thoughts they could do. A larger smile while looking over towards the other one who had joined them and she still didn't know who she was but more sith meant more help and she was fine with having that on their side while her hand putting her hand out for Raven's to make an agreement.

Melori's hand was there is a flash. Revenge was fun, but if you got to share it, it was even better. And here she was with two Sith Lords and the opportunity to learn for when her own chance to exact revenge came about.

She was curbing her arrogance and a chance to learn from the best? You didn't turn that down too often. If ever. So she grinned widely.

"So...what's the plan?"

[member="Darth Praelior"] | [member="Darth Raven"]

With the others in agreement Raven smirked before recoiling her hand. The notion was pretty much understood by all, find what they were looking for and hopefully use it against Taeli Raaf and the rest of the Jedi. When [member="Darth Timoris"] had asked she explained to both her and [member="Darth Praelior"] exactly what they would do.
"Easy." she said before pulling out a device; a small scanner by the looks of it. "We're going to use this to find what we're looking for. And, if my information is correct, it should be close." When either of them would ask what they were looking for she smirked and said "All in good time."
She used the device as it began to give a low ping. Raven held it up high before pointing it in every possible direction to see if there was any sort of reaction. Finally as she pointed it west the ping began to grow louder. A look of exhilieration was in her eyes as she motioned for the two Sith to follow her onward.

There was a look on her face at the mysterious nature of what Raven was looking for, in terms of revenge there was only so many things she could think of that would really give the level she would want to inflict on her former apprentice. They could do a great deal with some of the simplest creatures that the galaxy provided but going after one they might as well go after the other... and she had encountered the grandmaster when she was a padawan. A step up as it were from though but still as Balaya retracted her hand she slid it back under her cloak.before continuing to walk. "Curious then, I do hope it is something that can go into our experiments."

Melori considered suggesting making some more soup. She'd nearly killed Taeli on Ambria the last time she made it. Something about too many chillies.

And her hope for enlightenment came up short. There was a plan. And a thing that went 'ping.' But that was all she knew, so glanced at the giant Zeltron beside her - and realised she was staring straight at her chest (it was a height thing, nothing more), before blushing and coughing and nodding vigorously.

Aware hers was the only hand left hanging, she tucked it into her cloak and nodded some more. "Off we go then," she offered and fell into step.

The trek went on as the three walked for a good hour while following the detector on the scanner. It was leading them in the right direction as they continued onward there was something off in the Force. They would all be able to sense it. Something that seemed ancient and powerful yet also unknown or no-to-be in a way. Raven had stopped as they came to the end of the trail. They were looking at an old cliff face at the base of a small mountain. There was no indication of any sort of secret door or the like but both the scanner and the odd force presence was enough of an indication something was there.
"It's here." she said aloud. Raven then took a few steps back before saying "Help me break it open."
She then held out both hands and tried using the force to "open" the base of the mountain. She knew with the help of [member="Darth Timoris"] and [member="Darth Praelior"] they would all be able to pull down rock upon rock and discover what was hidden beneath.

[member="Darth Raven"] [member="Darth Timoris"]

The sensations of the force were coming to her as she moved with Raven sensing even more. She slowly worked to conceal them from prying eyes with an aura of lightside and good intentions before she saw where Rven was leading them. Her attention going to the door and extending a hand as she started to pull at it to open it up. The force and spell making thick black veins appear under her skin before she pulled and pushed for it to join in.

Melori still wasn't quite sure what was going on - but had been a Sister for long enough to simply follow instructions and lend a hand when required. When she needed to be informed of something, she knew she would find out.

So she walked in relative silence for what was a good hour before reaching the base of a cliff. Raven's reaction suggested this was the place they were looking for and who was Melori to argue?

So she watched and waited until instructed to help pull at the rock-face in front of them. And so she did. Pulling with the might of the Dark-side of the Force, she added her strength to the others and helped pull rocks away from the base of the mountain - her irises soon a deep shade of yellow as she worked tirelessly.

[member="Darth Praelior"] | [member="Darth Raven"]

Cracking of rocks. The sudden shift in the weight of the mountain. Finally it all came tumbling down. A small avalanche occurred after the three Sith managed to move the rocks. As it collapsed towards the Raven ordered for both [member="Darth Timoris"] and [member="Darth Praelior"] to help her push the rocks away as they tumbled towards them. Finally after a few vigorous moments it had stopped and all three could see a secret tunnel hidden underneath the base of the mountain itself. Darth Raven gave a beaming smile as she walked inside without a word. As the others followed she produced one of her lightsabers and used it's red light as a means of illuminating the path. As they went further into the tunnel there came a glow from up ahead. Upon reaching the end of the tunnel the trio would find a small room and hovering in the middle of it was the thing Raven had brought them all here to find in the first place: a Thought Bomb.
With a smile of victory Raven looked to the others and said "This is it. THIS is what we're here for: one of the very first Thought Bombs ever created by the ancient Sith."

[member="Darth Raven"] [member="Darth Timoris"]

Balaya let her hands clench as they were raising it then it was falling around. She followed behind the two while her eyes reflecting and illuminating the area for herself t see. She continued forward looking and waiting to see what Raven planned for them to find. Then suddenly as she was feeling it the time for the big reveal came and Balaya was at first curious but also worried. The thought bomb was power, more then most could handle and creating another one a skill lost to the sith, or hidden away somewhere that no one would want to use. If Raven found something of it, that could be both very powerful and dangerous as she was listening for the next stage of the plan. "This is a dangerous tool you seek to use Raven."

It all started very well. They made short work of the rocks and when a secret tunnel was revealed, Melori expected the plan to be too. Instead Raven simply looked very pleased with herself and headed into the mountain.

So she followed and when they stopped at what she presumed they'd come to find, she paled. Not good. Not good at all.

She was no Banite or great scholar, but she knew enough of the Ruusan wars to know what a Thought Bomb was. And they'd been throwing rocks around it? Not that Melori knew exactly would trigger one, but anything that old had to be unstable, right?

And she listened to Balaya and nodded vigorously before finally adding, "Now would be a good time to tell us you have a plan. And what it is. And how we won't die as a result." She smiled weakly. "Especially that last bit."

[member="Darth Praelior"] | [member="Darth Raven"]

The less than confident word from both of them made Raven huff a look of disappointment. She fixed herself while saying "Any sort of power is dangerous, my dears. In the right hands, however, it can be a very effective tool." She turned back to the Thought Bomb and said "And that is exactly what we have here. One of the very first Thought Bombs, locked away by the ancient Sith for fear of it being discovered too soon by the Jedi." She continued to look at it while adding "Just imagine it. The power of something like this in our hands. No one, not even Taeli, would be able to stand against us." She then made sure to mention to both [member="Darth Timoris"] and [member="Darth Praelior"] "Try not to touch it. No telling how active it still is." After that she heard Timoris ask about a plan, Raven turning and saying "Indeed. We take it back to the Sith and try to unlock it's power. If there are any Sith souls within can you imagine the sort of things they could teach us? The knowledge we'd gain from such a prospect?"

[member="Darth Raven"] [member="Darth Timoris"]

"Taking it back anywhere would be a dangerous prospect, power is good but restraint it just as important. If we simply take this and move it to be for ourselves it can be a dangerous thing others will seek to take. That would lead to the bomb possibly detonating and that will not serve our goals." She was standing there while moving only a little to have a better position. "Taeli Raaf and her sister will suffer but no revenge is worth it if you are going to die before exacting it. We can study it here on a jedi world and get it hidden under their temple, when the moment comes, detonating it will handle a great many things."

Hearing [member="Darth Praelior"] had only made Raven all the more upest with both her and [member="Darth Timoris"] . She sneered at her Zeltron lover before saying "How can you say such a thing? You or all people, Balaya. I thought you would have more confidence then that! This weapon can be used for greater effect if we study it here and now." She turned and faced the Thought Bomb fully. "You should not fear knowlegde. It is the key to power. And I WILL have that power."
The more she looked the more Raven seemed entranced by the Thought Bomb. The power of so many Sith lords hidden within. It was tantelizing to the point of practically calling out to her. She looked back at both her companions, giving a look to Balaya. It was not so much content ot anger, but more a deeper hint of something else. Desperation. And with that Raven turned and held her hand out, touching the Thought Bomb with her bare hands.
At first nothing had happened but then, in a sudden flash, a sugre of darkside energy streamed out. Raven could not move, only watching in awe as the Thought Bomb reacted. She began to feel something go from her hand into her body. A sensation of power. She laughed a little at the prospect but soon found herself screaming. Something was wrong. It was starting to hurt. A lot.

Darth Timoris

To err is human, to forgive divine. And I'm no god
Posting from my phone...slightly tipsy...in a hotel room in Barcelona - but the view is lovely :p - and trying not to slow you up too much :)

If her oldest sister had done any good for Melori, it was to encourage her to study former Sith Lords. And given Taeli's interest in the Ruusan Wars, she'd spent time reading about Bane. And the thought bomb. An ancient ritual that required the combined will of many powerful Sith Lords, the thought bomb unleashed the pure destructive energy of the Dark-side. There were significant risks involved, of course. That much power was highly volatile, making it difficult to control even for those who had the strength to summon it.

And the bit that stuck in her mind was the part about the vacuum at the center of the blast that could suck in the disembodied spirits of Sith and Jedi alike, trapping them side by side for all eternity in an unbreakable state of equilibrium at the heart of a frozen sphere of pure energy. Which felt like a long time to Melori.

But before she could voice her obvious concerns - something happened. What the something was, she couldn't tell for sure. But she saw the flash of light and the unmistakeable Dark-sided power leaking from the device. But it stopped as abruptly as it started.

Then Raven started laughing but the noise soon turned to screams. Something was wrong. Very, very wrong.

Balaya was looking at Raven as she spoke and thought to herself watching the sith's ambition. 'But knowledge that kills you will serve little value my dear.' She didn't say it out loud though while she was talking and touching the thought bomb. A look from her face to Timoris while she raised an eyebrow and then somethign happened. Balaya planting her feet she her body tensed and bulked, the aura becoming one of power to withstand it and a sith shield before she raised a barrier with black tendrils writhing. She could see and feel Raven while she clenched her fists until she heard Raven go from laughing to screaming.. then she was moving and crouching down low as her saber came off her hip. "Dark'chyld keep watch." The saber activated with a rainbow blade that changed colors as its voice echoed. "Yes boobzilla."
