The Sagittarius Mass Driver Cannon was developed by Olympian Armorsmiths to serve as a base weapon for various versions in different calibers, ranging from a tank-gun to a capital ship weapon. Designed to fire a variety of shells for different purposes and different targets, it was an ideal weapon for fire support. Adaptability was a key element which most common laser and turbolaser cannons could not offer, but a mass driver could.
The second gun built was the L55H, 'H' standing for howitzer and was a heavy artillery gun for field batteries and self-propelled guns. It boasted a large variety of shells for various purposes to provide effective supportive, counter-battery and offensive fire solutions.
