Kyr Maltos
Parasitoid Presence

  • NAME: Kyr Maltos

    FACTION: Galactic Alliance

    RANK: (Soon)

    SPECIES: Moralin

AGE: Seven - Youthful, but an Adult

    FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

  • A member of the Moralin race, Kyr has all of the typical qualities of his race. This includes a quadrupedal body and a pair of long arms which end in hook-like protrusions. His eyes are compounded and multitudinous, taking on a black shade that is apparent throughout each of the thousands of miniature eyeballs. He stands at a height of about two meters and weighs somewhere around one hundred and eight kilograms. Most of this appears to be within his torso and abdomen, though his limbs also possess a significant amount of heft to them.

Perhaps most notable about Kyr is his translucent skin. Akin to gazing into a sort of gelatin, his flesh is see-through, meaning that anyone gazing at him can observe his organs within his body. While Kyr tends to wear light robes and cloth coverings upon his abdomen and lower body to prevent distress, he does nothing to shield his brain from observation, and ultimately seems to care relatively little for outward displays of fashion.

  • Kyr was born on Apollios III - the homeworld of the Moralin from the corpse of a captured pirate captain and the infectious bile of his progenitor, Maltos. Maltos had spent a significant amount of resources in acquiring the captive captain, as well as the remainder of their crew, in order to guarantee a number of sapient children. This was altogether a gamble by Maltos, though one that would quickly begin to pay off after the maturation of Kyr and his fourteen fully-conscious siblings.

Kyr and these siblings were used to grow the influence of their Director, leading the dozens of Serviles kept within its service and performing whatever deeds were suited to the whims of their mutual progenitor. A few were used as enforcers, others as technicians and inventors, and Kyr was assigned to the duty of organization and administration - guaranteeing that each of his kin was operating to their peak efficiency and reporting any issues of relevance to the Director.

Under the direct control and influence of his progenitor, Kyr's Force Sensitive potential was undetected for several years until a freak accident involving the near-death of his Director. A cargo container had been hefted overhead via a magnetic crane when the machinery had suddenly failed, and the equipment had beared down toward Maltos. Biologically possessed of the imperative to do whatever he was able to save the life of his director, Kyr suddenly unleashed an unexpected blast of energy which was sufficient to move the crate so that it only caused injury instead of death.

It was during the routine sale of a series of illicit weapons - at least by the standards of a few galactic governments - that Kyr received notification that Maltos had been killed by an unseen assassin, possibly as a result of out his outspoken opinions of the Expan operations. A council of siblings was held with each vying for whatever portions of power and responsibility could be taken, and reaffirming whatever alliances and friendships they had made throughout their time of service.

Ultimately, Kyr determined that it would be best that he seek out further training and enhancement of his abilities. Eager to remove him from the power dynamic, but to keep him as a future ally lest he became powerful, the three most domineering of Kyr's relatives provided transportation to Coruscant, as well as a few hundred credits to ease his journey.

  • Detail-Oriented - Kyr is possessed of excellent perception. Tiny details and easily missed items are liable to be seen by the compounded and bulbous eyes of the Moralin. He is, incidentally, very very hard to sneak up on for anything that exists within the visual spectrum.

Indignation - Kyr has perfected the art of looking down on sapient beings in spite of whether they are smaller or larger than he is. No matter their respective heights, the Moralin is adept at making his displeasure and disappointment known. While used at times simply to shame, he can also turn the gaze into a more ominous and intimidating tool useful for convincing others to behave themselves in a certain way.

Shock and Awe - In combat, Kyr prefers sudden and intense bursts of activity. This means he prefers to strike all at once, preferably against an unsuspecting target. While not possessed of immense strength like a Wookie, he is nevertheless a heavyweight and is able to lay a significant amount of force into these sudden blows - more than enough to break bones or remove limbs.

  • No Hands - Kyr suffers from a lack of hands or digits. While he possesses a pair of arms, these each end in hooks, and are poor manipulators. He possesses the ability to pick up items with ease and to activate very simple mechanisms such as buttons or switches but naturally struggles with more complex items such as blasters or the controls of a starship.

Social Malfeasance - Having been raised in an anarchic society, Kyr has an under-developed sense of conscience about many matters. He knows that it is reprehensible to murder - in most circumstances - and that the theft of property is typically wrong, but other major problems may escape his notice. As long as someone is not going around harming others without purpose or reason, he is usually unlikely to intervene on his own prerogative.

Obvious - Most members of the Moralin race are fairly large, and Kyr is no exception to this rule. On top of that, his translucent skin has a habit of sticking out like a sore thumb. A combination of both of these elements make it difficult for the insectoid to sneak around without giving a very significant berth to potential spotters.

    • Kyr has fourteen fully sapient siblings and several dozen Servile kin. By the standards of Moralin society this is not a particularly large family unit.

  • Currently N/A

  • Feasts and Friendships - Kyr introduces himself to the New Jedi Order by hosting a dinner party.
