The lightsaber of a legendary Jedi Master, Kyle Katarn. The history of the lightsaber was hazy at best, because the existence of Kyle Katarn remained questionable by some. Some historians believed that Kyle had made his lightsaber as a replacement after he joined the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. However, other historians disputed the existence of Kyle Katarn. They felt that the claims of his feat to retrieve the Death Star plans were untrue. Rather, the plan was stolen by the help of a Rebellion team called Rogue One with the whole team killed in action.
While the existence of Kyle Katarn remained debatable, the lightersaber was in perfect working condition when Mariya found it on Sulon, the homeworld of the Jedi Master. A Force Ghost in the shape of an old man had led her to uncover this artifact after testing her sniping skills and believed that she was led there by the Force for unknown reasons. While the Force Ghost did not explicitly mention his name, Mariya believed that he was indeed Kyle Katarn after doing further research in her spare time.
