- Classification: Concussion Grenade
- Explosive Type: Overpressure shockwave (wide-radius pressure wave
- Delivery Method: Multiple
- Thrown
- Munitions-launcher compatible
- Effective Range: Personal
- Area of Effect: Large
- Damage Output: Large
- Micro-fuse ignition assembly
- Baradium-bisulfate charge produces a broad pressure wave capable of disorienting and knocking down targets across a wide radius
- EMP-Ion effect against unshielded electronics and droids
- 3-second micro-fuse delay
- Ease-of-access time modification dial can be manually tuned for shorter or longer fuse times
- Minimal fragmentation profile reduces debris risk to adjacent allies
- Grenade launcher, standard munitions launcher compatible via standard aperture
- Liquid-aenite, dolivite insulation against damage or environmental tampering
- Shock-absorbent gel lining prevents an untriggered explosion
- Wide Suppression Radius: The pressure wave hits everything in the blast zone simultaneously. Dodging, even with Force-enhanced speeds, is unrealistic.
- Breach and Capture Utility: Where the goal is immediate incapacitation rather than direct lethality, the G2 delivers. Disoriented or knocked-down targets are easier to secure, neutralize, or press past during an assault.
- Reduced Effect on Armored Targets: Armor absorbs kinetic overpressure well. Heavy vehicles or well-insulated armor -- beskar'gam being an example -- will lessen the effects of the shockwave.
- Cuts Both Ways: In confined spaces or at close range, the thrower risks being caught in their own shockwave.
The KWF-G2 Orar'marev produces a broad overpressure wave on detonation. A high-powered shockwave ross outward in every direction at once, traveling thousands of kilometers per-hour before dissipating as it reaches the broad edges of its 30m radius area-of-effect. Unprotected organics are disoriented, knocked prone, or rendered momentarily combat-ineffective. An EMP-Ion burst effect disables electronics within range, and it is designed to be impossible to dodge even with Force-enhanced speed.
Kestri Weapons Foundry produced the G2 with several scenarios in mind: urban assault, Force User suppression, and battlefield management, to name a few. Issued as part of the standard Iron Covenant ordnance kit, it is highly effective in nearly any situation. However, in tight spaces, the user must account for their own proximity before the fuse goes. Used with discipline, it is one of the more tactically flexible grenades in the Iron Covenant's armory.
