GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Kulthans
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Kulthis
  • Average Lifespan: 110-130 standard years
  • Estimated Population: Planetary
  • Description: The Kulthans are a young near-human species from the Outer Rim planet Kulthis. They are the product of centuries of secret relationships between the humans and Stenax of Kulthis. Kulthans mostly resemble their human ancestry. They look like your basic humans upon first glance. However, Kulthans sport some visible differences from baseline humans. Firstly, Kulthans have a pair of horns that sprout from their heads. It is said that no Kulthan has the same horns as another. Also, Kulthans have tougher skin than humans, making them able to take damage slightly better than humans can, and their ears are pointed much like a Sephi's.

  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.8-2.1 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Human colors
  • Hair color: Human colors
  • Distinctions: Horns, toughened skin, wings (rare)

  • Force Sensitivity: Rare
Strengths:
  • Demon's Flesh: Kulthans have exceptionally strong skin. Their flesh can be compared to titanium in terms of strength, making them rather difficult to pierce with conventional blades.
  • Flight: There is a rare 'defect' in Kulthan births where, like their Stenax ancestors, they are born with wings. These wings give those few Kulthans the ability to fly like the Stenax.
Weaknesses:
  • Horns: Due to the horns Kulthans possess, helmets are a difficult commodity to them. Especially considering the various ways a Kulthans' horns develop. Because of this, the Kulthans are unable to wear any helmet of any kind.
  • Sparse: Kulthans are a young species, born of secret relationships between their ancestors. THeir numbers are rather small compared to most species of the galaxy. So small, in fact, that only several hundreds are known in the galaxy.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivorous
  • Communication: Galactic Basic
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: None
  • General behavior: Kulthan behavior is generally seen as no different than standard human behavior. They go about their daily lives no different than humans. Life as a Kulthan, however, is met with small pockets of racism among other Kulthis natives. Kulthans are seen as abominations to some of the humans of Kulthis. This bigotry has been outlawed on Kulthis, however, that has not stopped the few pockets of racism left from existing. Hate crimes are an occurrence, however, the Kulthans remain strong and proud of their heritage.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Kulthan history is rather short compared to the many sentient species of the galaxy at large. The first recorded birth of a true Kulthan was only several centuries prior to the current age. There was once a time when relationships between the Belderone and Kulthis humans and the Stenax were nonexistent. It was considered taboo for one another to interact outside of trading and even then it was handled by droids. It kept the peace between the two species.

This was until a few adventurous humans ventured deep into Stenax territory. They had never seen any of their kind up close and their curiosity got the better of them. The humans ventured to the far side of Kulthis, towards Stenax territory. The Stenax believed they had no need for massive walls or posts in order to protect their borders due to the humans erecting their own. Instead, the Stenax occupied the mountainous area of the planet. From high above, they lived their lives free of worries. Until, the humans found them. And, when they did, the Stenax immediately captured them and held them prisoner until they decided what to do with them.

Some of the Stenax wanted to execute the humans so there was no trace of violation of the peace. Some wanted to keep the humans as slaves. However, there was one who wished for them to be let go. The rest of the Stenax ignored this plea. The lone Stenax took it upon herself to free the humans as the rest of them argued. She sneakily lead them out of the mountains and sent them on their way. The humans promised to not forget her generosity and kindness.
