Kuhn Consolidated function mostly as a Holding Company. Its primary function as a corporation is to buy and trade the stock of other Corporations. Kuhn Consolidated does this primarily through dealings with CEO's and Company Presidents, large amounts of money, as well as more shady methods that boil down to essentially manipulating the marketplace. Through its function as a Holding Company Kuhn Consolidated gains a measure of control over other smaller corporations and develops influence in what they produce.
This means that Kuhn Consolidated through the corporations it holds influence Kuhn Consolidated can guide the production of certain items or materials. For instance, Kuhn Consolidated may choose to buy controlling interest in a the manufacturer of a bathing suit company, it then uses its major voting rights to force the company into producing only one piece bathing suits. Through this method Kuhn Consolidated is able to create products and profit from them being produced, since they own the company that is producing the item.
Rationale: Kuhn Consolidated was built by Alric Kuhn from the ground up using his trust fund, and later a substantial inheritance from the death of his parents.

Description:
Kuhn Consolidated exists as an entity to serve the needs of Alric Kuhn, those needs being whatever he particularly feels like on that day.
As it stands right now KC is a relatively large planetary Corporation. It functions only on the planet of Neimoida, being located there and dealing in about fourteen different markets. For the past five years KC has been buying and trading in corporate stock on Neimoidia, building a portfolio of different corporations it has a stake in. These corporations include but are not limited to, clothing manufacturers, micro-chip developers, and a long laundry list of other corporations that do multiple things.
Though KC holds no real control over these corporations as a Parent Company would, the corporation is still able to put pressure onto the companies it holds major stock in. It does this through threats. A chief example would be the bathing suit company earlier mentioned. Kuhn Consolidated wished for the bathing suit manufacturer to sell only one piece bathing suits, however the modest President of the corporation refuses to do this, instead of respecting the corporations wishes Kuhn Consolidated then threatens to dump its major stock holdings in the Bathing Suit Company, thus creating a panic in the market and likely entirely crashing the Bathin Suit companies stock and interest.
Though this is extremely illegal and underhanded Kuhn Consolidated does it in such a way that they have never been caught, nor even accused of this crime. This is mostly due to Alrics charm, a cadre of lawyers, and how the markets are regulated and controlled throughout the galaxy. It is also through this method that Alric creates product for the market, using corporations he has major stock in to produce items that he profits off of.
So far this has been entirely confined to Neimoidia with him creating odd trinkets and clothing lines for the Neimoidian populace. However as an influx of business has been created and the Galaxy has become more open to trade Alric has seen the light of interplanetary expansion and quickly plans on pressing Kuhn Consolidated into the lime light.
