Rationale: Duilius bought the company after getting a buy out on his company that he founded nearly 8 years prior, specializing in trade and commerce, looking for a new project he happened to encounter an old friend he had met during their university years. The man, Gregor Taz had recently negotiated a corporation merger between one of his own and another, a pharmaceutical based manufacturer. Taz for the last eight months had been selling off the subsidiaries of the parent corporation, his own unable corp. unable to operate such a large company after the merger. After some drinks, a cigara, and some catching up, Duilius mentioned his predicament, and his excess of funds, and Taz offered him one of the final subsidiaries of the pharmaceutical corporation he had recently merged with. After a few weeks of paperwork, a meeting to arrange what former high management would continue with Kuat Trade Company and who would be transferred to Taz's corporation, and finally the signing of the sale, and Duilius now had a new company, one he would certainly try his hardest to build.

Description: The Kuat Trade Company was founded a family run general store in Kuat City no longer ago than 790 ABY. For nearly thirty years it grew from just one small location two three fairly large stores. The son of the founder, Jaso Ke'ellin was quite the businessman, he turned the little hobby shop to an enterprising company. Only thirty three years after its founding, in 823 ABY Jaso turned the company from a middle man sales into a manufacturing business as well, owning six store locations, and two factories creating KTC patented goods. In 831 ABY the company was bought by a much larger parent company and expanded the subsidiary enough to go public on the market, allowing for stock holders and a board of share holders. Under the pharmaceutical company it focused less on selling wares locally and more on producing them for the holonet international market, to be sold in small and large quantities. After the merger, the subsidiary was sold to Adriago Duilius, who used his entire savings to invest and expand his new company. After only two years of owning it he managed to make the first factory outside of the Kuat system, on Nemoidia. Under his leadership the company has expanded out from medical equipment manufacturing and smalls good manufacturing to even more areas of revenue. Although stores are still run on Kuat by the company, most of its sales are via Holonet, personal and organization purchases.
