Founded by disillusioned Kuati engineers fleeing the despotic regime of Queen Arage Bao, Kuat Systems Consortium was envisioned as a quiet guardian of Kuat's legacy. Rather than compete directly with the mighty Kuat Drive Yards, the company focused on producing essential components and systems that would strengthen Kuat's overall resilience against outside manipulation.

For years, KSC quietly supplied critical parts to the Dark Empire and later the Galactic Empire, maintaining ancient supply routes and technical expertise that helped fuel a renewed Imperial cause. The company's fortunes shifted dramatically with the rise of Zis Azetesha. After several short-term owners struggled to maintain direction, Zis steadily rose through the ranks before assuming the role of Chief Executive in a swift and decisive transition.

Under her leadership, KSC relocated its primary headquarters and major production facilities to the Kuat owned system of Rasterous, a planet not included on the Galactic Map following the mysterious Planeshift event. Here, KSC maintains state-of-the-art facilities where engineers blend traditional Kuati craftsmanship with cutting-edge automation.

KSC conducts business with cold professionalism. It accepts select private and government contracts, though it maintains a clear preference for clients aligned with Imperial interests or those who can afford premium pricing. Loyal to the idea of a strong, self-sufficient Kuat heritage rather than any single government, the Consortium is pragmatic above all, elegant and refined in its dealings, yet utterly ruthless toward threats to its independence.

Zis Azetesha Zis Azetesha joined Kuat Systems Consortium in a relatively modest mid-level management position during one of the company's uncertain transitional periods. Possessing an almost supernatural understanding of starship engineering, logistics, and corporate intrigue, she rapidly distinguished herself by resolving long-standing production bottlenecks and negotiating favorable supply deals.

Over several years she methodically worked her way through operations, procurement, and strategic planning divisions, earning a reputation for surgical efficiency and an unflinching willingness to make difficult decisions. When the previous owner suddenly stepped down amid internal power struggles, Zis was the only executive with both the competence and the quiet alliances necessary to assume control.

In what many still describe as an overnight ascension, she secured the position of Chief Executive through a combination of flawless internal maneuvering, key stakeholder support, and her undeniable results. Rather than rest on inherited momentum, Zis immediately enacted sweeping changes, most notably the full relocation of headquarters and primary operations to the forgotten world of Rasterous.
