Sanza was not a planet familiar to Kaden, nor was it his target destination. It was, however, the destination of the only ship he had managed to catch a ride on, and he wasn't keen on just sitting around doing nothing, so he had taken the opportunity. Over the course of the journey, the ships crew explained to Kaden that they were there to drop off a shipment, and then spend their earnings gambling on gladiatorial fights, races, or just throwing down money at one of the many casinos on Sanza. As fun as that sounded, it left Kaden in a bit of a predicament. Was he even old enough to join in on any of their plans, or would he just have to stand around watching people gamble? That'd suck, but he'd make an effort at least to try and have some fun. And so, for the first time in quite some time, he took off his mask, hiding it away on the ship, and for a moment, he considered leaving his lightsaber. But he instead hid behind his coat.

Look confident, look like you belong. That was his key to victory in getting to enjoy this planets amenities. However, as it turned out, there was very little use in his mental preparation, as he strolled up to the doors of one of the larger casinos on Sanza, he was just allowed access. No resistance, no kind of checks. He was quite simply just allowed entry. The casino itself was huge, screens adorning many walls, showing various gladiator fights, or races that were happening at his moment. Beneath those screens were registers to allow easy gambling on those fights, as well as terminals to order easy transportation to these events. Otherwise, there was just about any other game you could ever imagine littered around the casino, and right at the very centre, was a bar.

Kaden stood in a momentary stunned silence, the flashing lights, loud conversations, and the hustle of bodies moving all around him had truly caught him off guard. To anyone who spared Kaden even a second glance, it was incredibly obvious that he hadn't a clue what he was doing there in the casino.

Aveline was doing her very best to look like she belonged here. Like the gambling of credits as well as morals was commonplace to her, like it was the only place she belonged. Her eyes glanced up at the many screens to observe a moment in a gladiator fight. It had looked like it had been the end for the one from the blue team, but at the very last moment he had recovered, and danced away. The fight was very much live. Whatever the outcome, she couldn't do anything about this one. She could, however, do something to save the next.

Gladiator fights like these weren't outlawed in all systems, in many it was frowned upon, in many it was celebrated. Slavery, however, was pretty universally frowned upon, yet there had been strong clues to indicate not all participants here were willingly stepping into the pit seeking fame and wealth. The Council had sent her to discover the truth. If there was something she could do, she would, but her primary objective was gathering intel and reporting back, so a more clear strategy could be outlined.

The brunette moved casually between tables, giving smiles, pausing to observe the various games being played. She wasn't used to prancing about in a dress, but had she worn her traditional Jedi gear they wouldn't have let her through the front door. The skirt was long, dragging past her feet and behind her. The top moved up into a turtleneck grip around her slender neck, and left her arms and shoulders bare.

Suddenly she felt something holding her back. It was a wonder she managed to stop, another step and she might've fallen, or worse yet, ripped the dress. Someone had stepped onto the train of her skirt. She turned a sharp eye back towards him "Do you mind?" only later did she realize her tone had had too much ice, too sharp of a dagger, but well, it only suited her cover, and it was too late to turn back now. She judged, at least, that the guy responsible hadn't done so on purpose.

The slight shift in texture under his foot had caught Kaden momentarily off guard, but he would have simply continued on his way, continuing to be blatantly out of place, and confused, had he not heard an accusatory tone being directed towards him. "Do I mind what?" He practically spat, peering down towards her, his expression a mixture of looking offended at her tone, and somewhat defensive, as if he was guilty of something a little more grave than having stepped on her dress, not that he had realised that was the source of her tone yet.

It was only as he was peering down towards her that he realised he had stood on the train of her dress, lifting his foot so that she could it free. "I hadn't noticed." He admitted sheepishly.

He half turned, as if he was simply about to head off on his way, before coming to a halt. Accompanying someone would likely cover for his own confusion, and obvious out of place-ness. And she certainly looked much more at home here than he did, his attire, while far from tacky, was enough to show the difference.
"What are you doing here, actually? I haven't visited many.. Establishments like this before, not entirely familiar on what I should play, or place bets on. I don't want to be entirely stupid with my money, after all."

"My name is Kaden, by the way." He extended his hand out towards her, immediately regretting having mentioned his actual name, and not some cover name.
