The Journal
Entry #25

I found my time on Panatha, the planet of my birth, was drawing to an end. My work, some ethical and some unethical, had begun to draw the attention of the one I personally dubbed "Mad Hatter". In hindsight, I had I know who he was, whom he worked for, and what disasters he planned to unveil on the galaxy via my experiments, and constructs, I would have never opened that e-mail, nor accept the first round of credits per our agreed contract.

And now, I feel as though someone is lurking over my shoulder, metaphorically speaking of course, and I have found my indulgences in certain mind and mood alterating increasing just to cope with my growing paranoia. My beautiful mind is on the verge of fracturing, I have o get off this planet!

Entry #33

Tragedy! The "Mad Hatter" and myself have finally came to a destructive conclusion! I told him I wanted out, and he tried to kill me. He underestimated my need for survival; and I was the quicker on the draw. I fear now it's only a matter of time before his cohorts track me down. What a disaster!

Entry #51

Through some favors, and credits, I finally procured a way to get off this planet. And not a minute to late! My paranoia has transformed into a positive reality. I noticed people had been following, forcing me to spend time in crowded areas. Luckily, these stalkers aren't prepared to bring harm to me while among the masses. But I'm not tempting fate!

Entry #53

Safe, for now. My transport shuttle has finally lept into lightspeed; putting distance between myself, Panatha, and the dead "Mad Hatter's" cohorts. I dare not write down my destination for fear of this journal falling into the lost and found treasure box on this ship. Well, here's to a new life!
