- Classification: Lightsaber
- Size: Average (Hilt: 28cm, Blade: 150cm-170cm)
- Weight: Light
- Dual-Phase Mechanism: The Dual-phase mechanism allows the saber to instantly shift from the average length of 145cm to 165cm, often times used to off-balance foes.
- Force Bond: Due to the Spintiri crystal housed within the hilt, Aten is bonded to the saber through the force it amping his abilities though also tying its fate to his own to where if Aten is corrupted so to would the crystal, or if he were to die the crystal would follow.
- Force Bond: Aten is bonded to the saber through the spintiri crystal housed within, where it amplifies his abilities in the force by a modest amount while growing alongside him. This effect is pushed further due to the crystal enhancement properties from the Heart of the Guardian.
- Focus: Along with a boost to his force abilities the spintiri crystal aids Aten in focusing during intense or dire situations.
- Energy recycling: The dantari crystal housed within the hilt along with the other two allows the user to more easily recover spent force energy, and even recycle the energy from combat to fuel those who wield it.
- Devastating Blade: The Heart of the Guardian crystal housed within has its own unique traits besides enhancing other crystals used in conjunction with it, this being that it creates a blade that moves more in tune with the user making it appear faster.
- Force Nullification: Much like any other force imbued object or user once under of a force nullifying bubble the effects of the crystals cease to function.
- Cortosis: The worst enemy of every lightsaber wielder, upon striking cortosis the saber will short out like any other.
- Stealth: Stealth with a base spintiri crystal was already incredibly difficult, with its presence being amplified by the Heart, it is now impossible in every way for a force user to attempt to sneak by others privy to the currents that flow about them all being able to feel the presence of the saber at a great distance.
- Crystal Corruption: Due to the spintiri crystal growing alongside Aten it also shares his alignment in the force which if the Jedi becomes corrupted so too does the crystal, if its owner is attacked mentally weakening him the crystal becomes more fragile.
- Bound: The commitment to this saber is for life, if the spintiri crystal housed within is destroyed so too is Aten, and vice versa.
- Strength: The sabers hilt is incredibly light thus making it unfit for the use of power strikes or in competitions of strength against other duelists.
- Limits: While the saber amps Aten's abilities in the force along with recycling spent energies it also makes it far more difficult for the Jedi to know his own limits or strength possibly even bringing him to the verge of death of having overspent himself. While the force is infinite his ability to use it is not.
Kol’s remnant is a saber long in the making while paying homage to Aten’s original Jedi Master. One that was like a father to him, had saved him, taught him. A normal man to many, a myth to other jedi that forgot about his existence, but a legend in Aten’s eyes. They say heroes are never forgotten, but legends never die. Kol was a strict duelist, and master attempting to do all he could to install the arts of the blade into Aten only being partially successful. Aten often prefers to use his hands first before relying on a saber as he saw it as a weapon of use only in dire straits or when all hope of redemption was gone.
Before the creation of Kol’s remnant Aten knew nothing of stacking lightsaber crystals for a variety of effects, he’d only discovered such techniques during the attack on Dubrillion where he came to engage the acolyte [member="Adrian Vandiir"]. Throughout the duel, Aten was completely outclassed in terms of abilities his foes saber amping him and filling him with more energy to throw at the Jedi. It was a terrifying display that Aten will never forget witnessing and took it as a lesson that he could one day incorporate in which he did. The acquisition of the crystals within the saber were mostly done by others for Aten. The spintiri crystal was gathered by his master Romi Jade and Starchaser as they visited a cave torn between the light and dark. The spintiri crystal is one of great importance to Aten, moreso than any other housed within the hilt. This crystal is bonded to Aten and he to it, in some ways he sees it as sentient as himself often communicating with it through projecting emotions or thoughts to it. In return, the crystal replies simply increasing the bond and love Aten has for it.
The Heart of the Guardian crystal was gifted to Aten by the once Jedi grandmaster and now exile [member="Veiere Arenais"]. Aten looking for a teacher to teach him the more esoteric aspects of the force went out in search of Veiere not only to learn but to show the Jedi that there was still hope, that he could still be redeemed. It is during this fated encounter that Aten formed a relationship with the exile, one of trust, kinship him even seeing Aten as a grandfatherly figure. Granted the crystal by him had been shocking to Aten at first leaving him eternally grateful to the master. The final crystal was a base Dantari crystal Aten actually went out in search of himself gathering it from a Kinrath nest.
With all the sabers gathered Aten needed a material to craft the outer shell of the hilt from, going to the material he knew the most of Aten chose phrik. A light material and one that would allow it to take strikes from other lightsabers. The hilt is of average size housing the three crystals in conjunction with each other. The main reasoning for three crystals being the dual-phase mechanism that it housed allowing the saber to shift between 150 centimeters to 170 in an instant. This could be used for a variety of purposes whether it be shock and awe or even extending the blade to hit a retreating target. The original blade of the saber has an azure hue granted by the Dantari crystal reflecting Aten’s alignment in the force. However once switched to the second it carries the bronze and gold hue of the Heart that lies within. Phrik being what the shell of the saber is made of causes it to be an incredibly light saber making it inadequate for contests of strength or even great power blows meaning the wielder must be clever with the way they utilize it. There are no buttons on the exterior of the saber and instead, it is force activated while possessing a pressure grip that if released will cause the saber to deactivate. The final touch to the hilt were the letters BMF engraved on the side, their meaning he leaves up to others though when inscribing it Aten giggled like a schoolgirl.
When it came to stacking the crystals effectively this is where his current master came to his aid. The spintiri crystal was unable to be used as a focusing crystal thus was set up in such a way to not interfere with the others. Once infused into the hilt all the crystals worked in conjunction with the Spintiri and Dantari drawing off the Heart of the guardian it amplifying their natural abilities. As such the bond between Aten and the Spintiri strengthened to such a point where Aten’s life lies in balance with the crystal where either of their deaths could lead to his own. If he is affected mentally so too is the crystal weakening it. If separated for too long the crystal could completely shatter ending its own life and taking Aten’s with it. On the opposite side of the coin and more beneficial is that it amplifies Aten’s abilities wherein a base spintiri crystal would only slightly enhance a force ability it grants him now a moderate boost of his abilities growing along with the Jedi. The focus it once offered now to the point where Aten can remain focused in the direst of situations, or even while severely wounded easing his use of the force. Some would say so focused that he’s completely unaware of the wounds he possesses or how much energy he’s spent through the force possibly bringing the jedi to the brink of death.
The Dantari crystal also gains a generous boost from the Heart its main boon lying in that it allows Aten to more easily regain spent energies and recycle the wild energy of combat. While this may be more this doesn’t mean Aten has no limits, the force may be limitless but his ability to use it is not and he’s prone to exhaustion just like anyone else. The final crystal that holds ability being the Heart itself its abilities at amplifying other crystals being a great boon in the sabers creation, but it holds one other effect. It creates a blade that many consider fast and devastating yet due to it being only a weightless blade of plasma Aten found it slightly confusing at first. Only upon his first few training runs with the saber did Aten realize that it wasn’t the blade itself that was faster but instead it simply acted more in tune with the thoughts and actions of the wielder making movements much more fluid.
