CONTENTS
  • Sith Magic
    Aura of Uneasiness
    Kt8iqKl.png
    - Using the dark side of the Force to project an aura of uneasiness around oneself allowed a sentient being to rid themselves of the nuisance of creatures that might otherwise cause them distress. When inside the aura's sphere of influence, animals and insects were compelled to avoid the path of the aura's projector, thus allowing the individual to proceed without delay. When performed in the presence of other sentient beings, the aura caused individuals to suffer from a sensation of intense malaise. Force-sensitives experienced an expanding sense of darkness, as well as an inability to concentrate on whatever task they were attempting to perform at that moment. The ability was relatively simple to create and control, but its area of effect, although more potent when in close proximity to the point of origin, was restricted to the initiator's line of sight.

[*]Corpse Vision
  • ewRCo3Y.png
    - A corpse vision was a dark side Force power, akin to invoke spirits, conjured through Sith magic by a Sith sorcerer, that summoned the spirits of deceased Dark Lords while playing upon the Force sense of Force-sensitives to produce mind-tricking visions. Under the Sith practitioner's spell, the corpses would metamorphose into intimate images from the Force-sensitive's past that would whisper twisted, potentially damaging messages to the recipient.

[*]Dark Energy Trap
  • rap2JWG.png
    - A dark energy trap was a dark side Force power, conjured through Sith magic by a Sith sorcerer. Dark energy traps resulted from intense concentrations of dark-side power. To a trained eye, they appeared as faint shimmers of purple in the air and, under the Sith practitioner's spell, could immobilize even a skilled Force-sensitive being for a time. They could, on the other hand, entrap indeterminately in duration a being who was unskilled.

[*]Dark Side Tendrils
  • 1IGQfD8.png
    - Dark side tendrils were pure manifestations of malevolent Force energy summoned through Sith magic. These tendrils rose in the form of black mist from the ground and took the form of serpentine tentacles which swarmed their victim and attacked with the power of the pure dark side. Exceptionally powerful and difficult to conjure, this Force power required complete mental concentration. When conjured by a seasoned Sith sorcerer, dark side tendrils were able to instantly annihilate any kind of matter they get in contact with, as well as subject the individual who got injured to the full scope of the void of the dark side.

[*]Dwomutsiqsa
  • Zoypn3T.png
    - Through this incantation, the caster would concentrate the air and the energy around them to conjure a dreambeast known as the Smoke Demon. This creature had no true form, and it would assumed the shape of its victim's worst fear.

[*]False Light Side Aura
  • 3kZvY8T.png
    - False light side aura was a dark side Force power conjured through Sith magic, that covered a darksider's dark side aura with one of light.

[*]Force Blast
  • Oegb8wG.png
    - Using one's hands, the conjurer could project focused blasts of dark side energy, that could obliterate objects, or destroy living beings or creatures. At first, users would experience moderate difficulty in controlling such powerful dark side energy. With practice, the aspiring sorcerer could learn to direct the energies into a power that could obliterate anything in its path. Sometimes the user would suffer burns to their flesh, but feel no pain. While its effects were enhanced if the wearer was in possession of a Sith amulet, the amulet was not required.

[*]Invoke Spirits
  • XEz95Ro.png
    - Users of this ability would fully surrender themselves to the dark side of the Force, and summon a particular spirit. The caster then would request to be endowed with the power of the spirit, becoming filled with a palpable hatred that overwhelmed anyone in close proximity. The potency of these rituals could be amplified, should the user be in the vicinity of the physical remains of the spirit whose power was solicited.

[*]Odojinya
  • nRzrXLS.png
    - When used successfully this power would summon strands of dark side energy that would wrap around the target and ensnare them in an unbreakable mesh. The lattice of dark energy would then effectively sever the being's connection to the Force and continuously sap their strength as well.

[*]Spell of Concealment
  • 861apLZ.png
    - Similar to the Force cloak ability, conjuring a spell of concealment through Sith magic allowed the caster to hide or cloak the presence of one or multiple individuals.

[*]Sutta Chwituskak
  • M6jUAeg.png
    - The Force user would create a radiant sphere of pure hatred which they could hurl at any target in their direct line of sight.

[*]Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut
  • kIpUP3H.png
    - This complex spell could awaken the freshly-dead and skeletons, transforming them into an unstoppable legion impervious to pain and capable of transmitting a necromantic infection through biting.

[*]Waves of Darkness
  • bst3aYD.png
    - Using ancient Sith magic to summon waves of darkness required a sorcerer to call upon the full scope of negative emotions that lingered in the center of their being. Fueled by the power of the Force, conjurers spewed forth their emotions in tides of dark side energy that rapidly expanded in a spherical aura around them. Waves of darkness manifested in the physical realm as well; affected beings noticed that the atmosphere around them — whether within the confines of a building or outside in the skies above — became thick with negative energy or visibly immersed in darkness. Thunder often boomed and was accompanied by a roaring sound as the darkness spread. Anyone caught in the vicinity might immediately begin to suffer also from feelings of intense horror, pain, and bewilderment. Victims were tormented by whispers of the dark side that left them in a state of utter hopelessness, and prolonged exposure robbed them of the will to fight. Dark-side waves caused Jedi and other users of the light to feel stifled, as though their connection to the Force was being smothered.

[*]Places of Power
  • Panatha - "The planet of my birth, it is saturated with Dark Side energies of my own design and beckons those who hearken to the whispers of the shadows to partake in its glory."
  • Mord'Rethar - "A world I found ruined in the Unknown Regions dotted with the remnants of an ancient Sith civilization that had destroyed itself eons ago. Despite its decrepitness, there are still echoes of power to be found among the desolation."
  • The Sith Worlds - "The holy cradle of the Sith, the Stygian Caldera. It is here where Sith civilization was the strongest."
Dromund Kaas - "Former throne world of the Old Empire, and Vitiate's before that. All that remains of this once proud world is destruction and aching memories."
  • Khar Delba - "A frigid world, but one seeped in the history of the Sith. The Library-Temple still serves as a place of learning for the aspiring Sith."
  • Korriban - "The ancient tomb-world of the Red Sith and a frequent hub for learning, no doubt many of you already know of this infamous world."
  • Krayiss II - "The site of the Dominion's defeat against my Empire, home to sprawling templestone and radiating with the Dark Side of the Force."
  • Rhelg - "Legends say that this was the home of Ludo Kressh, but whatever marks he made upon the land no longer exist. "
  • Ziost - "The unofficial capital of the Sith and the former capital of the short lived Resurgent Empire that sprung up alongside my Empire. They've fallen into the annuls of history now, but much can still be learned of our ancient past."

[*]Thule - "I once ruled this world as a King, but now it holds nothing for me except distant memories. The Dark Side is still strong, however, and I have found its perpetual lightning storms pleasing to the senses."
[*]Malachor V - "This world was no longer existed, but thanks to the miracle of technology it was remade before the Darkness blanketed the galaxy. While not in the same state as it was immediately prior to its destruction, the echoes of that cataclysm persist."
[*]Oricon - "I only know of this world because of Lord Tirdarius, apparently it was a breeding ground for Sithspawn and home to the legendary Dread Masters eons ago. The tantalizing scent of fear still persists on the winds."
[*]Csilla - "Csilla is a particularly dull world, homeworld of the Chiss and the capital of the Iron Empire. However, at the end of the Netherworld Crisis a portal to that ethereal plane was created somewhere in its frozen wastes."
[*]Dathomir - "Ah yes, the home of the witches. Darkness exudes from the world's surface like heat from a furnace, but be warned. The witches do not take kindly to intruders, especially males. Tread with caution and think with clarity when dealing with such vixens."
[*]Corellia - "Another world affected by the Netherworld Crisis. The deity Akala conjured a dead world from the galaxy of the Yuuzhan Vong in Corellia's location, merging the two planets together in a holocaust of fire and death. A rift into the realm of the dead also exists here."
[*]Gratos - "Homeworld of the barbaric Graug, and an excellent place to test your physical mettle against these bestial warriors."
[*]Tantorus - "Tantorus is a strange world, so far from the Sith Worlds yet possessing a rare abundance of Red Sith. Though I shouldn't be surprised, Mord'Rethar was on the farthest edge of the galaxy from the Caldera yet a Sith civilization once thrived there."
[*]Prakith - "Once the holiest planet in the One Sith Empire, now an abandoned wasteland dotted by battlements and roamed by vicious monsters."
[*]Byss - "This used to be Palpatine's true throneworld. It was destroyed ages ago and rebuilt by the same technology that gave life to Malachor V, and like Malachor V the echoes of its destruction still persist.

STRENGTHS
  • Easy Access Magic: Users of the grimoire have an immediate access to several magical spells on varying power and severity depending on their privilege of access as gifted by the books creator, Darth Carnifex. The usefulness of each spell is dependent on the user's power and skill, the book does not gift a user immediate master status with any one spell, but rather allows aspiring sorcerers / sorceresses access to the knowledge of its use and how to control it. True mastery comes with practice and repetition.
  • Sassy Gatekeeper: The book is guarded by the shackled spirit of a long dead Sith Sorceress bound by Carnifex into protecting the secrets of his book and keeping those unworthy from accessing the more powerful spells and incantations within the tome.
WEAKNESSES
  • Difficult Access: Without the right privilege, one wouldn't get very far into the book's contents. This is a way to inhibit apprentices who are either too eager or too stupid to heed the risks of working with powerful magic at such an unattuned age. The Gatekeeper monitors and disciplines any apprentices who are currently using the book, often with copious amounts of snark. She will go to great lengths to protect the secrets of the book, with the three levels of security ranging from verbal, to physical injury, to outright death if the trespasser remains tenacious enough to press forward.
  • Inherent Risk of Self-Annihilation: Those who are unprepared for certain forms of magic run the risk of destroying themselves through misuse or ignorance, for Sith Magic is not a toy to be used wantonly. The names and images of those who have foolishly delved too deeply into the dark arts of Sith magic are etched in shame upon the book's interior front cover, seemingly done so in blood.
DESCRIPTION
For many decades the man known as Kaine Zambrano has been an ardent practitioner of the ancient magics and sciences created and perfected by the ancient Red Sith and the Lords of the Sith who came after them. His first taste of magic came from his illicit couplings with the Sith Sorceress Karin Dorn, whose libraries and reservoirs of knowledge were pilfered by the rising Lord after her death by his hands on Thule. He kept most of these tomes and holocrons to himself, gorging on the knowledge she had accumulated over the years before destroying the written records so that none could benefit from them. In the years after he had only passed on his knowledge verbally and through private instruction, never fully committing to keeping a physical record of his own knowledge for fear of it being usurped by his ambitious apprentices and used against him like he had against Karin Dorn.

It was feared that when Kaine died that all of that stolen knowledge would be lost, but not even the depths of Chaos could keep the Sith Lord from expanding his power. During his brief but torturous internment in the bowels of the Netherworld he was assailed by the spirits of his mother and father, the former of which was an exceptional sorceress in her own right but had, much like her son, hoarded the knowledge for herself and had left little physical evidence in the wake of her demise at Kaine's hand. In order to survive Kaine was forced to obliterate the spirit of his father, and in doing so had weakened his mother's spirit enough so that he could overpower her and slowly feast on her consciousness to replenish his strength.

In doing so he unintentionally absorbed her knowledge of magic and improved his own ability to wield it. When he returned to life he finally put himself to the task of codifying and cataloging his knowledge as a resource that could be passed down to his apprentices. Yet he was still apprehensive of the possibility that his apprentices may advance too quickly in the realm of magic, and thus he imbued this new spellbook with a spiritual gatekeeper who would watch over and limit how much an apprentice could learn at any given time. He modeled this guardian after the same woman from which he experienced magic, the illustrious Karin Dorn. He even instilled in her the same sarcasm and snarkiness that was trademark of the Dorn enchantress for his own wicked amusement.

Hello, I'll be the factory judge reviewing your submission. If you have questions, please feel free to respond to this thread once we are underway.

Clearly you have put a lot of thought and effort into this submission, and currently there is not much which is the way of this being approved.

However, what you've currently listed for the contents of this grimoire is, more or less, nearly the full contents of the Sith magic wookieepedia category. I'm aware that Kaine has mastered much of the Dark Side, and utilized a large portion of Sith magic throughout his time on Chaos, but for the purposes of a balanced submission I ask that you reduce the amount of "high level" force abilities, stuff like Qazoi Kyantuska. To make this easy on both of us, simply go through the list of force abilities you have here and find the force abilities which Kaine is most known for, or have used the most - perhaps Dark Side tendrils and such - and remove those which he has not been known to use as often.

Simply reduce the amount of spells in the contents of this book to something that speaks more to the personality and specialty of Kaine Zambrano and you'll have an immediate bump to secondary approval.
