OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

Intent: to create an order of force using elite warriors, to create an avenue that will allow Muad Dib to explore and consolidate his force beliefs

Role: The Knights are to be a group used for protection detail, a strike team, or battle guard. They are elite warriors. They are to be used under the direction of a PC and never more then squad strength at a time (9)

COMBAT INFORMATION

Availability:
Rare

Deployment:
Limited

Strengths & Weaknesses:

+ The Force: the Knights are force sensitive. As such they are able to imbue their bodies to be faster, stronger, and have quicker reflexes then the average soldier. Through the force they are able to accelerate healing of any wounds when they have time to meditate, aka not in battle
+ Neutral: because of their philosophy that the force is a neutral tool to be utilized, some lean more towards the Darkside while others the light. However they attempt to maintain balance. As such they are less susceptible to the affects of force abilities utilized by polar opposites in the force, such as force light
+ The Force is a weapon: seeing the force as an extension of themselves, the Knights train in the force yet they do not neglect other training or weapons. Each Knight is a skilled bladesman, martial artist, and trained in the aspects of their weapons
+ A Unit: each squad trains together, bunks with each other, shares their personal lives with each other. As such they are uniquely attuned to one another. The force magnifies this connection even more so. Fighting together on the battlefield or shield to shield, the Knights cease to be single individuals and become a single fighting organism

- Force Sensitive: being force users, entering an area devoid of the force will affect the abilities of the Knights, making them less efficient being deprived of the force. The edge of physical attributes afforded will be removed as well as their abilities
- Ranged: like infantry throughout history, no matter their training or ability, ranged weapons can take them down. Whether it be a well placed sniper round or artillery
- EMP: the technological components of the Knights armor and weapons are susceptible to an electro magnetic pulse or force lightning, taking them off line momentarily. On the battlefield this could spell death
- Infantry: as a ground based unit, the Knights are dependent upon infiltration/exfiltration upon a battle field. Also once upon a battlefield they are restricted to movement within range of their own volition. So the area they arrive in is most likely where they will be for the duration of that particular scenario.

Description:

The Aegis Corporation is a reflection of Muad Dib, created by his experience and formed by his beliefs. As such the operations of the company mirrors what he believes is needed. New ships, space stations, relaxing locales, troops, and a force order that serves Aegis and it's beliefs.

Having been Sith and trained with Witches, Shapers, Rhandites, Sages, and even the occasional Jedi had begun to open his mind to the reality of the force on a personal level.

The force is all encompassing. There is a Lightside and a Darkside. Yet these sides were merely opposing points of the very same force. The force was neither good nor evil, it merely bent to and was influenced by the wielder.

"There is Life, there is Death.
There is Chaos.
There is Good, there is Evil.
There is Chaos.
There is Passion, there is Peace.
There is Victory, there is Defeat.
There is Gain, there is Loss.
There is Love, there is Hate.
There is Balance in Chaos."

Muad had learned that the force was neither inherently good nor evil. Ashla and Bogan, a balance between the light and darkness within each.

When he moved to Confederate space he joined the newly formed Knights of Zakuul and experienced their beliefs: that the force was a tool one used in service to others. After the force order of the Confederacy continued to morph the ideas of the Knights of Zakuul remained within the master, combining with his own thoughts and opinions until the time came.

Now Muad has brought his thoughts and beliefs into a cohesiveness expressed by the formation of the Knights of Aegis. Following the ideology that the force was an external use of an internal stance, the Knights of Aegis follow a code which their very name implies: Knights of the Shield.

To be a shield for those who cannot protect themselves. To stand in the gap against tyranny, against evil, against wanton violence with no purpose except gluttonous evil. To protect and serve the people they have sworn to stand with. To stand with their people in peace, to take up arms in war.

The Knights of Aegis are formed.

Loosely based on a militant unit, each squad is comprised of nine Knights. The leader is called either the Matriarch or Patriarch (though it's more common for a female to be the leader) who commands the unit in battle, guard duty, or in peace time. A Shaman is the lorekeeper and often spiritual and force guide for the squad. The Shaman is focused on balance and being the moral compass for the squad. The Champion is both the most fearless and selfless warrior of the squad. More often then not they are also the best warrior of the squad. Between these three the squad is led under the guidelines of the Knights of Aegis.

Upon joining the ranks of the Knights of Aegis training begins. An established curriculum of base force abilities is taught each prospective Knight, called an apprentice, as they grow in the force. In tandem with the force training runs martial arts training and weapons training. As a Knight it is understood that the force isn't your only tool in ones repertoire, but instead one of many. Along with this an apprentice learns the code of the Knights of Aegis along with the morals. A third area of training is in humanitarian services. Whether they are assisting with founding towns, helping with crops/livestock, or aiding war torn communities, the Knights utilize their skills in service.

Upon knighthood the new Knight of Aegis is assigned to a squad, should they choose to be an active member of the Order. As a member of a squad they are found at an Aegis location and available for service there or abroad in their sector. These Knights stay local unless sent on assignment specifically by Muad Dib.

Nothing calls out to me on this one as needing to be changed. Pending secondary.

Over all this looks fine. My main concern here is that their armor is affiliated to ME and the NPCs are not. I'm going to need you to change the armor or get permission from the armor's creator, before I can stamp this.
