Abilities that directly rely on damaging another foe come difficult and rough to the alien, however, whenever it is a more esoteric ability, something on the verge of healing or solar channeling, it flows like water through stonework. Much of how Gau describes his relationship with the Force is stellar in nature. As if the stars themselves were where he derived his power from. Attributed Powers Core Force Abilities Force Light Force Cure Combat Style While the towershield and spear combat style is something many civilizations have left to the wayside, Gau found promise in the simplistic art. He fights like a legionary, with both the lightlance and shield being extensions of his own will on the battlefield, not moving against either, but treating their dance as twins, something to be considered as a pair rather than separate concepts. Brief Summary If he wasn't a Knight in service of the Empire, he would make a make a mighty fine Jedi. Gau was born as part of a clutch of ten other children on the world of Axxila during the height of the Second Sith-Imperial Civil War. While his planet never was directly brought into the line of combat, those living on the world still felt the pressure of the war, especially those in economically destitute situations like his family was. Incredible rent rates kept those under the poverty line locked in a cycle of debt and paycheck to paycheck living. There was never enough credits, there was never enough work, never enough steady work, never enough legal work. While the parents kept menial jobs in the blaster factories for the Sith Empire, the children sought out employment where they could. Handfuls were arrested, some were used as scapegoats for their employers when sketchy practices were brought to legal light, one dead, one vanished, assumed sold into slavery to solve the debt of the lord they labored over. Mother was conscripted and never returned. With the death of the Sith Empire came hope, however, that hope decimated the family structure that kept the household alive. Planetary officials investigated the family, declared the parents were unable to financially provide for the children, and sent them to various different state ran agencies across the planet. Gau's force sensitivity began to manifest not soon after the NIO came to control the planet, and walking up the chain of command from the state keeper of the home to the local Imperial Knight mission eventually saw Gau being put through the novitiate trials of the Empire's finest. Under charge of a Mandalorian by the moniker of Redwald, Gau was shown what the galaxy had to offer its sentients. A history of discrimination, familiarity of the humanity behind violence, and pauper upbringing shaped the entire character of Gau's pageship, and molded him into a Knight that would be more befitting to the teachings of the Jedi than the Imperial Order. Compassionate, and bent on a quest of redemption for each of the crestfallen and dark warriors that the galaxy could throw at him, Gau's connection with the force was best defined by one emotion. Hope. The fall of Redwald nearly shattered that faith. It is unknown what sent the Knight over the edge, however, during the tail end of Gau's trails, Redwald, rather openly, offered to take the alien with him into the deepest reaches of the galaxy. To learn at the foot of masters that shared their vision. To serve orders that could reshape the galaxy to be more, to be better than the shell it was. Redwald was a radical. Gau was a reformist. The fight lasted nearly a day before Gau was left defeated by his old master, with the promise that he would see the truth one day. That Gau would stand by him and destroy the orders of old and usher in a new age, at the blade. |
