Following the apprehension of the miscreant Kiber Dorn, Gala had assessed there was some potential in Amaris Tanenat. Far be her from any sort of maternal creature, the unambitious mirialan had offered to hang out with the feline purely from a self preservation perspective. If this cat kid was going to be falling into similar steps as her with The Imperium, it would be prudent to ensure her own skin was safe with good company.

Bolstered in historic naval excellence, Anaxes was rich with random training facilities. All Gala had to do was rent one out on behalf on new government business. Given the transitionary period, there weren't many questions asked.

Her footsteps echoed in the cavernous, concrete room as she walked, pacing across from the feline femme.

"So, other than dog-faced plates, do you have typically have a weapon of choice?"

The events of Axanes were... Interesting. Her and Gala Geert Gala Geert had made a pretty credit off of Kiber Dorn Kiber Dorn . The mad man had ran around the town actin a fool. And even though they caught him and tossed him to the authorities, it still didn't quite give Barbara justice, though...

Perhaps more importantly, though, Gala had agreed to hang out with her some. Amaris wasn't very skilled in general combat. She had the coordination to shoot well and use blunt weapons, she just was never trained on it. Heck, she hadn't even taken a self-defense course. The girl had relied on her feline form to mostly handle her combat situations - a risky move, especially considering how she couldn't always make herself turn.

So, it all worked out! Amaris knew that their was likely some other reason why Gala had agreed to hang with her. After all, she wasn't really paying her and Gala just didn't seem like the kind of gal who liked that many people. Amaris liked her though and she was willing to help her so...

Amaris watched Gala pace in front of her. Weapon of choice? "I usually just grab what I can," she commented after a moments thought. "I've always wanted to use axes, though. Just like all those horror holofilms." How cool would that be? "Um, I do like swords. Vibroswords and the like. I think it works well with me." Mostly because she technically could stab people in her feline form and there had to be some parallels there, right?

"Grab what you can?" She repeated, folding her arms across her chest and leaning against a nearby crate while Amaris Tanenat spoke. She was about to ask what kind of situations would make such weapons available, but then she reflected on the apprehension of the notorious Kiber Dorn Kiber Dorn and a knowing grin twitched on her emerald lips. "Oh yeah, I've seen that in action."

Amaris continued to explain what she thought made sense, and Gala listened listlessly.

Sounded like this kid watched a lot of movies.

Laconic as ever, she gave only a shrug in response. It sounded like the Felicat didn't have enough experience to have an explicit preference.

"Do you know what you don't like? Sometimes that's more important." She paused, checking her nail bed for a moment before refocusing back on the youth across from her. "And if so, why the distaste."

Amaris gave a quick nod with a bright smile. Yep, grab what she can. It had been her motto since her childhood on the rolling city of Lutrillia. "Yep! Whether it's a greasy wrench, or a blaster, or a boiling pot of water..." She shivered a little at that memory. Really, why would someone try to rob what was practically an orphanage?

Either way, the grin on Gala Geert Gala Geert 's lip made Amaris chuckle a bit. Ah, poor Kiber Dorn Kiber Dorn . She wondered what had happened to the man. Was he convicted? Did #JusticeforBarbara take off, and the planet riot for her? Let off? Eh, she guessed she might look it up on the holo another night.

What she didn't like? "I don't like heavy guns," she said first. "Too big, too heavy. I like smaller, easier to wield and ones I can just whack fast!" Amaris made a motion of throwing down some form of weapon, presumably down on the head of someone. "I don't like shiny, pretty weapons either. Like lightsabers are so bright - why would you want to broadcast yourself like that?"

Shouldn't they want to try to be sneaky and if not, couldn't they at least be black or something?

Her façade faltered to evidence a grimace at the idea of grabbing boiling water and using that as a weapon. Her mind immediately went to blistering and boiling skin. Where on earth had that happened? Her imagination was short lived, and reckoned swiftly that she'd rather not know the personal details of the pointy-eared girl's life.

It was good to hear the perimeters of Amaris' malcontent. Nothing that made her stationary, nor anything that drew attention. In the party shop where they'd apprehended the thong-wearing Kiber Dorn Kiber Dorn , she'd leered on the outskirts until lunging in with a strike. She'd let Gala do the dirty work, with all that peach fuzz, and then come in with that doggone blow.

Axes and whacking.

"Jedi are foolish for so many reasons." Gala agreed, with a nod of her head. "But useful allies in battle."

Without further adieu, she pushed from the crate she was leaning on and slapped a palm loudly against the top. One of the sides gave out, and revealed a medley of items inside. Knives, axes, swords - things that had sharp, pointy ends.

She gestured loosely at the contents, stepping back to indicate that Amaris Tanenat should step forward.

"Had a guess you'd be a handheld kind of girl. Pulled some strings with the credits we made, and figured you should get outfitted with something more permanent than a plate."

Saying what she disliked and why out loud actually helped the young Felacatian more than she realized it would. In this respect, she disliked being the center of attention. She preferred the stealth, the slow hunt before attacking whatever she had to attack. It was unfortunate that most of her more violent encounters seem to be fairly... Not hidden and stealthy.

But there was plenty. Like with Kiber Dorn Kiber Dorn . One good hit on the head and he was out cold. Not like it would've taken a hard hit, guy was probably so off his knockers, she probably could've just flicked him in the head and that would've done the trick.

"Trueee," Amaris mused quietly as Gala Geert Gala Geert made a wise point about Jedi being useful allies. Her mind drifted back to the time she was stuck in the mine with Master Graendal. Nice, even though she did try to rob him... The idea was perfect, the execution was... Well, less than ideal.

"That's me!" She commented as she peered into the box. She scratched her chin as she held one of the knives, tossing it between her hands. Setting it down, she tested the axe next. "Really?" She asked, her blue eyes wide at Gala's comment about getting her something better than a plate. A thin grin on her lips. "Thank you," she said after a moment.

"... This is definitely better than a plate."
