Description: Cheep, fast, and well armed, the Kirtok is a bird of prey, flying over the battlefield looking for infantry to strafe or armored vehicles to hit with its missiles. It however doesn't do so well on the other end of the spectrum, with only moderate shielding and light armor the Kirtok is only a few solid hits away from being in serious trouble. Trouble it'll try to escape through its great maneuverability provided by its variable dimension wings which can change angle on the fly to provide a wide range of thrust vectors. It's primary laser cannons are mounted above the wings' actuation points, the launchers are housed just beneath them with the magazines running back into them, and the blasters are mounted just below and to either side of the forward view-port. To large to fit most hangers, these ships act independently of a mothership, only docking externally to take on supplies or soldiers. As such they come equipped with their own hyperdrive and cramped crew space.
In order to back up its primary function, the Kirtok is also capable of transporting a small ground compliment that can be dropped in for quick backup or (if the troops have already disembarked) evacuation. In space, it fairs rather well against a target of similar size but suffers greatly against fighters due to the loss of air resistance against its wings for maneuvering. However it can still work as a cheep escort or for the insertion of special combat teams behind enemy lines.
