Kig was a pirate all his life. He was born on an Outer Rim space station, his first memory is of running away from someone and onto an open freighter to escape. The freighter wasn’t exactly filled with pirates, actually they were the opposite as far as the underworld was concerned, smugglers. He was a asset to that crew, sweet-talking them out of tough situations. Until they were boarded by a group of real pirates. They actually called themselves Marauders. The leader of this group was Xygrit, a Falleen woman. Kig couldn’t talk his crewmates out of an early demise, but Xygrit’s Lieutenant Thrace decided to spare Kig and make him part of the crew.
The crew had many changes over the years and eventually Xygrit decided she’d had enough of picking off small fish and decided to take on the mantle of descendant to “Prince Xizor, Vigo of the Black Sun”. She set up permanent shop on Ylesia and chose Kig as her hand picked captain. He was much more predictable than the rest of the crew. And she knew a taste of spice would keep him in line. He has a degree of honor, for someone who makes a living disabling and plundering ships that have the misfortune to cross his path. Kig has had many relationships over the years. He is an occasional lover to both his boss Xygrit and his underling Dixi, but doesn’t limit himself to the two, which causes issues quite often.
