Weaknesses: Easily domesticated, non-sentient, good source of food, and quite tasty

Distinctions: One prolonged horn starting at tip of their head, going down the length of their skull, and protruding just above their nose.

Races: Domestic Khovaa and Fighting Khovaa
Diet: Jehzen Fungi
Communication: Pheromones, scratching on the ground to mark territory, verbal by grunting, snorting, and calling

Culture: Khovaa often lives in herds up to 20 members, although they have been witnessed in single specimen and groups as small as only two specimen. Khovaa prefer darkness of caves, although they will adapt to life on open planes, forest, deserts, and tundras when required. Khovaa can be often sighted with Khazund who keep them as food source, beasts of burden, and even as mounts and weapons.

General behavior: Domesticated Khovaa are really peaceful and curious, often will come closer to sentient beings in search of food or affection, they enjoy being patted and petted. Fighting Khovaa are much more territorial, they will often snort and stomp their feet in the direction of a sentient, warning them not to come closer, should the sentient do so, Khovaa have been known to charge sentient beings and potential predators in order to gore them on their horn.

History: Khovaa are one of the native species of Khazund. Since the earliest years of their civilization, Khazund have domesticated those creatures, breeding them most often as source of food, beasts of burden, mounts or weapons. Quite a useful animal, when the ecological cataclysm of Khazund began to draw closer and Khazund evacuated, they took specimen of Khovaa with them, saving them from their demise on the planet.
Khovaa did not actually died out on Mechanus, as the planet became later known, pockets of wild roaming Khovaa herds have remained in the deep caves, still containing drinkable water, oxygen, and forests of Jezhen fungi the animals use as their main foodsource.
