KHARVOK KAST
- BACKGROUND
-
Born on the high-gravity world of Ragith III, Kharvok Kast possesses immense natural strength, though he always resented being treated as mere muscle. Seeking luxury and status, he initially worked as a feared enforcer, using his formidable size to settle debts and handle security without always resorting to violence. He built a comfortable life, but his fear of losing his wealth led him to take on darker, more questionable contracts.
His life shifted when he was hired to recover a noble's fleeing heir. Hesitating to return the woman to an abusive family, Kharvok was caught in a brutal firefight and left unconscious with a severe head injury. Clan Kast rescued him. Interpreting his survival and rescue as a sign from the Mandalorian gods, Kharvok converted to the Creed with absolute zeal and brings such conviction to the Iron Covenant.
- PERSONALITY
-
Kharvok is an imposing individual, though bound by ritualistic practices due to his head injuries. Before battle he checks his armor the same way every time, recites a short Mando'a prayer, and covers himself in blood, as a ward of protection from what he views as foul Magic though most often than not is the force and its users. He talks about the gods often but he's not stupid or blindly obedient to their cause.
His faith keeps him disciplined, but it also gives him an excuse when he doesn't want to face what he's done. If a decision goes badly, he can tell himself the gods wanted it. If civilians die, he can call it necessary. If someone questions him, he can take it as an insult to his faith. More than anything, Kharvok hates the possibility that he might be wrong.

TRAINED COMBATANT - STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
-
Ragithian Power — Kharvok is terrifying at grappling range. He can force open jammed doors, carry wounded allies through hostile terrain, disarm lesser opponents through sheer leverage, and turn cramped interiors into killing grounds. His strength is most valuable when used intelligently, not simply violently.
STRENGTHS
Battlefield Presence — He makes allies feel that somebody has taken control of a collapsing situation. Kharvok gives direct orders, commits decisively, and remains hard to rattle under fire. His rituals also create a sense of certainty among warriors who need something solid to believe in before a dangerous assault.
A Convert's Discipline — Kharvok came to Mandalorian culture as an adult, which means he studies it intensely rather than taking it for granted. He trains, maintains his gear, memorizes lessons, and tries to live by a code. He is sincerely trying to become better than the mercenary he used to be.
Loyalty Once Earned — Kharvok does not offer trust easily, but he treats a sworn promise seriously. Someone who has proven themselves to him can expect a fierce defender, an honest warning, and a man who will walk into danger rather than abandon them.
Delusion of Divine Appointment — Kharvok's faith is sincere, but his conclusion that he is a divine avatar is unstable. He interprets coincidence as prophecy, disagreement as a test, and survival as approval. A clever opponent can manipulate him by staging omens, invoking Mandalorian symbolism, or forcing him to choose between a mission and what he believes the gods demand.
WEAKNESSES
Ritual Dependency — The blood anointing, armor rites, and pre-battle prayers help Kharvok focus, but he increasingly believes he cannot fight properly without them. If deprived of his armor, denied access to his ritual materials, or mocked in front of people whose respect he needs, he can become anxious, distracted, and aggressively defensive.
Fear of Being Ordinary — Beneath the titles and divine language is a former enforcer who fears he was never more than a well-paid weapon. He clings to the idea of destiny because it transforms his suffering into purpose. This makes sincere criticism far more painful than an insult or physical defeat.
Poor Strategic Patience — Kharvok is excellent in a breach, a hunt, or a direct confrontation, but he struggles with long political games. He distrusts compromise and can become frustrated by leaders who delay action for practical reasons. His instinct is to meet rot with fire, even when fire will destroy something worth saving.
