This lightsaber was designed to be useable in as many conditions as possible. The removal of the dimetris circuits renders cortosis to be just a blocking material and won't short out the blade. The bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse allows it to be used underwater without hindrance, and the addition of a dantari crystal as a secondary focusing crystal allows the wielder to recover from force fatigue faster, and reduce its onset to begin with.
DESCRIPTION
The simple black hilt hides an elegant makeup of technology. It was assembled by Phade after his tenure with the Techno Union was over. With the fall of that regime, Phade knew that he would need to lay low, so he discarded the standard templar saber that had been gifted to him as part of his initiation into the Obsidian Knights. Still, he wanted to retain the ability to fight any other force user on equal footing, and decided to design a personal blade with which to do so. It does not see much use, as in his current identity Phade, currently known as Keric Dynt, masquerades as a non force using gunslinger and smuggler.
Strengths:
- It's a lightsaber: This lightsaber is fairly standard for lightsabers, having all of their customary strengths.
- Wispy Blade: The blade caused by the Blackwing crystal is a smoky blade that puts out as little light as possible, allowing this to be used much more steathily than a standard lightsaber.
- Reduced Force Fatigue: The secondary focusing crystal allows for reduced force fatigue
- It's a lightsaber: Along with it's customary strengths, this blade holds many of the customary weaknesses of a lightsaber, namely lack of mass to power through things, and a weakness in cutting through restricted materials.
- Short Range: As it is a melee weapon, the lightsaber has a definite, short range of use, even considering a force throw.
- Electronic dependent: As this weapon is composed of state of the art technology, it is highly susceptible to Ionic/EMP weaponry, and would likely require circuitry to be replaced should it suffer such damage.
