PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Keldar is a being sculpted by adversity and necessity. His personality is a complex tapestry of survivalist cunning, hardened skepticism, and a tenacious will to prevail. He's not inherently malevolent but pragmatically amoral; his beliefs are not bound by conventional morality but by the codes of the underworld that raised him. Loyalty to him is transactional, trust is earned, and respect is the currency of his realm. Keldar respects strength and wit, and while he may not seek conflict, he's unflinching in the face of it.

STRENGTHS

Business Acumen: Years of dealing in the underworld have made him a skilled negotiator. He knows how to make a deal, how to use his silver tongue to his advantage. He has also learned how to think strategically.

Adaptability: Keldar has learned to thrive in a variety of hostile environments. He has lived everywhere between the bowels of Coruscant and the depths of space. He knows to use any resources to his advantage.

WEAKNESSES

Moral Flexibility: His willingness to bend rules could lead to questionable decisions. He always is looking out for himself, and is willing to bend alliances to where it benefits him.

Cynical: Keldar is not good at making personal connections. A lifetime of seeing the ruthless nature of the underworld has made him a cynic. He has had few, if any, meaningful relationships outside of his birth parents.

HISTORY

His journey begins in the labyrinthine depths of Coruscant's lower levels. Born into a Lannik family struggling for survival, his childhood was a patchwork of shadowy alleys and neon-lit streets. The towering skyscrapers above, symbols of power and wealth, were a constant reminder of the life he could never reach. In this harsh environment, Keldar quickly learned that adhering to the law was a luxury he couldn't afford. His earliest memories were colored by hunger and the echoing sounds of the bustling underworld.

As he grew, Keldar's survival instincts led him to the murky paths of petty crime. His small, agile frame and keen Lannik senses made him a natural. He started with pickpocketing and minor thefts, swiftly becoming adept at evading the overburdened law enforcement of the lower levels. These early ventures into crime were driven not by malice, but by necessity; a way to scrape together enough to survive another day in the unforgiving depths of the city-planet.

Keldar's descent into the criminal underworld deepened when he crossed paths with the Pykes, a feared syndicate known for their control over the spice trade. Recognizing his talents, they brought him into their fold. Under their tutelage, Keldar transitioned from petty theft to the high-stakes game of spice smuggling. He quickly mastered the art of deception and negotiation, becoming a valuable asset in the spice lanes of the galaxy.

However, Keldar's ambition was not to be a mere pawn in someone else's game. With a combination of cunning and ruthlessness, he branched out, establishing himself as an independent arms dealer. His dealings were risky, involving high-stake transactions and dangerous clientele, but his reputation grew. He became known as a reliable, if somewhat unpredictable, player in the arms trade, a name whispered in hushed tones in the shadowy corners of the galaxy.

But Keldar's ascent was cut short by betrayal. Captured during a deal gone wrong, he was thrown into the depths of a high-security prison. The days of negotiating deals and orchestrating smuggling operations were replaced by the monotonous routine of prison life. Yet, the confines of his cell could not hold his restless spirit. Keldar spent his days plotting, using his time in captivity to forge new alliances and plan his return to the underworld.

Now, having made a daring escape, Keldar finds himself once again amidst the stars, a free man with a tarnished reputation. He is driven by a burning desire to reclaim his position in the galactic underworld. His journey is fraught with danger and uncertainty, but Keldar is determined to rise once more, leveraging his cunning and experience to navigate the perilous waters of galactic crime.
