Strengths:

 • When colliding with a gravity well/singularity, the Satet has the potential for large splash damage. (explained below).

 • Resistant to EMPs/ion/electrical attacks and slicing/mental influence.

 • Good speed and maneuverability in space for a missile of its size.
Weaknesses:

 • The full splash effect of the Statet is indiscriminate, so great care of allied positioning must taken into account when employed.

 • This niche weapon made to excel in one job. When used like a normal missile, it only has the damage output akin to a much smaller standard proton torpedo.

 • The Satet has limited deployment options. In the case of fighters, it can only be carried in large bomb bays or equivalents, while ships require assault grade launchers or HVCs.

 • The missile has poor performance in atmospheric conditions, like any craft propelled by dovin basals.
DESCRIPTION

The KE-4 Satet is a homing missile primarily designed as a deadly countermeasure to gravity based interdictor vessels such as the Immobilizer.

Description
As interdictors had become more ubiquitous in space warfare, several groups have developed new tactics and technologies to deal with them. However, most countermeasures developed were evasive in nature.

Once, KSA looked into the matter, it was deemed that the best way to deal with interdictors was more direct approach, exploiting the mechanics of the gravity-based interdictors to deter their increasingly liberal use.

So the Satet was born, a biot based torpedo that directly collides with artificial gravity wells with a powerful self-generated singularity. Upon impact, a violent reaction as the Satet merges with the gravity well, releasing huge amounts of energy in the form of intense gravity waves.

Much like a gravity bomb, the gravity waves produced between Satet and the target gravity well are capable of shredding starships and structures within close proximity of the gravity well and the interdictor platform producing it. In essence, the Satet turns an interdictor into its own worst enemy, making the use of gravity wells a risky venture.

For more devastating effect against the interdictor platform itself, Satet can be fired directly at the gravity well projectors or equivalents (e.g. dovin basal) to possibly trigger a deadly chain reaction to destabilize the gravity well projector(s) and cause a myriad of destructive effects including implosion.

Outside of it primary mission profile, the Satet can be used like any other missile or shell with the equivalent damage output as a single proton torpedo. However, it doesn’t deal damage through kinetic impact despite its incredible mass, but rather by the gravitational forces of its singularity warping materials.

Countermeasures

Noting the prevalence of ECM, most notoriously missile deactivation transmitters, the Satet is organic based to overcome traditional forms of EWAR, slicing, and Ion/EMP weaponry through the use of wetware. Taking design cues from the Inago, it sports photonic style circuitry and photonic neural net made from lambent crystals. Modeled after Toydarian brains, the neural net is resistant to mental influence. It can generate its own form of encryption to prevent slicing and comms intercept, using honey encryption by default.

Its delicate internals is protected by a thick casing of reinforced neutronium infused ferrocarbon coated with agrinium. The agrinium coating provides a protection against radiation like microwaves, while the underlying casing is meant to block spaceborne debris.

The casing isn't full blown armor though, still making the missile vulnerable to hard-kill measures like anti-missile octets.

To make up for its fragility, the Satet employs both high speed and maneuverability to avoid being hit during flight.
