  • High-resolution flat screen: a modern screen technology, good to look at, that people can spend a whole day in front of it.
  • Scalable: it can be produced from small to huge sizes without hitting technological limitations.
STRENGTHS
  • True black: the screen can produce unilluminated true black color, not just close to black tones.
  • High contrast: high contrast makes sure every color is vivid and strong, this really gives a premium feel to the content on the screen.
  • Millions of colors: millions of displayable colors make sure to give faithful colored images and display video correctly.
WEAKNESSES
  • Hardware demanding: with high-resolutions comes a computational price, if you want good looking real-time images you will need the hardware for it, the best if it is a dedicated chip.
  • Vulnerable: compared to holograms it is vulnerable, weapons, lightning etc. can damage the screen itself.
  • Addictive: it is so colourful and smooth, it tricks some species' brains and they will spend extra time looking at it.

K Corp was dissatisfied with existing screen technologies, so it developed it's own, to use internally and sell in many products. In the megacorporation's thinking a high-resolution screen with close to faithful colors is key to give consumers the amazing experience that will catch their attention. It brings the virtual world closer to the user and gives a nicer experience. High-res tech is also versatile, because almost anything can be displayed on it, from holo-calls to databases and documents, it is multifunctional. For industrial and military applications the screen gets reinforced glass protection and overcurrent protection. It is really popular on starship bridges, presenting information about the ship, it's location and surroundings and it is also a practical choice for the crew's smaller personal screens, there is no need to search important information on a low-res blue screen anymore. Office work can also be modernized with it. K Corp produces KC-1 screen en masse and floods their clients with them. The only real complain about the technology, so far, that it is addictive, people can spend too much time in front of them, and this can waste their time. Every KC-1 screen is marked with the K Corp logo.
