DESCRIPTION

I want...this one, Uncle Isley! - [member="Katrine Van-Derveld"]

With the ravages of war plaguing the Galaxy, it became painfully apparent to Darth Metus that his niece was lacking proper protection. However, while he had been raised by Mandalore - to the point where only full-on beskar'gam was proper protection in his book - Katrine had a sense of fashion. She would not be caught dead in a bulky mass of plates. She certainly wouldn't restrict her agility to do so either.

Therefore, the Sith made a compromise and amended a recent gift she had receieved from her Father, the once famed leather coat of Ket Van-Derveld himself.

At a glance, the Katrine's jacket still retains its flair and flexibility. However, within the torso region of the piece are liners sewn directly into the material. These liners are composed of Duraplast, woven with Cortosis. While the level of the latter material within the liners is miniscule, it is enough to uplift the Duraplast to a level of effective immunity to lightsaber blades. In addition, Duraplast natively provides excellent protection against blaster bolts and other common, battlefield threats.

All in all, Katrine Van-Derveld now has the best of both worlds. Protection without the cost of aesthetic.
