DESCRIPTION
This medium armor consists of a durasteel armor set on top of a woodland camoflaged and armorweave-reinforced survival suit. Sturdy shock boots together with a utility belt and a durasteel helmet.
The helmet is of open design, yet it has a good coverage and protects the majority of the wearers head. The helmet has built in aural amplifiers to enhance the wearers hearing and also has a drop-down infrared goggle for work in dark enviroments. The armors weak spot is between the durasteel plates. It sacrifices the full protection of heavy armor systems, to give the wearer a good balance between high mobility and decent protection in battle situations. Another downside is that durasteel run the risk of corrode over time if not maintained properly. The lack of high-tech optical systems like the ones in closed stormtrooper helmets, which demands that the wearer spend a considerable amount of time getting used to it and train in it, makes for an easy-to-use armor that is equipped with what is needed on the battlefield.
It came in Kathryn’s possession during her time in an expeditionary fleet exploring the far reaches of the galaxy. Since joining the CIS, she have upgraded it with adaptive holographic camo, which allow her to change from the armors standard woodland camo to what represents the battlefield with the touch of a button.
