SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Movement Capacity: Unlike many prosthetics, this cybernetic arm is capable of nigh-perfect movement due to its structure mimicing that of the humanoid muscle system of the arm.
  • Integrated Combat Capabilities: The razor sharp blades that would potrude through the knuckles on the hand make for a good last-resort weapon of defense, however the plastoid plates on the hand make punches harder than with wholly organic hands, and the robotic grip is stronger than that of an organic hand.
  • Exoskeleton Structure: The arm is composed of hydraulic hoses that mimic the muscle system of an organic arm, but are surrounded and protected by plates of plastoid that are refined to look perfectly polished in appearance.
  • Designed for Appeal: The arm was designed with the intention of looking as close to an organic limb as possible while still being mechanical in nature.
STRENGTHS
  • Flexibility: The advanced system of hydraulics intertwined like that of the humanoid muscular structure in the arm allows this cybernetic replacement nigh-perfect replication of organic movement.
  • Armored: In order to protect the hydraulic movement system, the arm's plastoid plates double for both ensuring structural integrity of the arm as well as providing protection for the hydraulics that make it function.
    • The custom make of the arm encouraged for the Plastoid plates to be refined in order to both look polished all the time and provide additiona protection for the hydraulic systems.
  • Integrated Weaponry: As a last line of personal defense, there are three razor-sharp blades made from Mullinine that are sheethed in the inner parts of the hand. These blades are retractable upon signals from the brain connecting to the cybernetic arm.
    • Plastoid plates provide an affect akin to brass-knuckles when punching.
    • The mechanical grip is so strong it allows Katherin to strangle someone with just the hand., let alone hold onto objects with great strength.
  • Fashionable: While many members of the Eternal Empire beleived in function over form, Katherin was of the mindset of form with fuction. Thus, her new arm was designed with the intention of being capable of assisting her in close combat whenever necessary, was well protected from most damage, but looked appealing to have attached to her body.
WEAKNESSES
  • One of a Kind: This replacement limb was custom made by an artisan on Kalidan. Thus, while repairable, if it is destroyed beyond repair, a new prosthetic will be necessary, or much time will have to spent making a completely new prosthetic in hopes of making it just as affective as the original.
  • Recognizable: By having this, Katherin is easily recognizable due to this replacement limb. Its unique appearance and fashionable nature make her stand out immediately, which can make her easy to target.
  • Hydraulic reliance: If the arm is damaged beyond the exoskeleton of plastoid plates, the arm is rendered useless as its entire system can be brought down by a blow to the hydraulic pumps and hoses that permit all movement made by it.
  • Connected to Nervous System: As part of the implantation of this cybernetic arm, Katherin's nervous sytem has become well-attached to it to the point where removing the arm will require intensive surgery that could greatly damage her nervous system more than it already is.
DESCRIPTION
While the Eternal Empire was battling in wars abroad, Admiral Katherin DuPorcelen, Commander of Battlegroup Scourge, was tasked with routing out rebel elements within Imperial space as a means to stabilize the homefront amidst the wars across the galaxy. It was during this time a group called the Shadow Empire set her in their sights due to her efforts in rooting out operations run by the secret, subversive organization. While on a mission to clear out a rebel base on one of the frontier worlds of the Eternal Empire at the time, the ship she was Captain of was infiltrated by Shadow Empire operatives. An explosion on the bridge left her grievously wounded, where she spent much time in recovery. When she awoke, she realized her entire left arm had to be removed, and every breath was wracked with pain from the shrapnel wounds she took to her chest.

Following this incident, Katherin would do everything possible to not look weak again. Additionally, she took her job no longer as a duty in the glory of the Empire, but a mission to irradicate insurgencies from its space completely. However, she still had a sense of fashionability. Thus, she wanted to have a prosthetic arm that looked somewhat appealing for her to both convey strength, as well as fulfill practical needs of a cybernetic replacement limb. Soon after her incident, she had an artisan on Kalidan make her a custom prosthetic arm. What was produced was a somewhat elegant, but simplistic design. However, it also was a design capable of mimicing much of organic movement to nigh-perfection. It was structured out of plates made from plastoid that doubled as armor for the prosthetic. It then was composed of various hydraulic hoses intertwined with eachother in a way akin to that of humanoid muscle, allowing for the new ar mto have its nigh-perfect room of motion. Lastly, a touch encouraged by Katherin herself, the arm was fitted with razor sharp blades made from Mullinine. Such a feature was meant to be so that she could have a last line of personal defense if she was caught of guard again. The blades were thus positioned between the knuckles on the hand where they would push out between the plates of the hand. Protective sheethes were then designed to keep the blades sharp while also protecting the hydraulic systems from their edges.

Katherin still wears this arm implanted into her shoulder to this day. It works as both a unique piece of cybernetics reflective of her newfound wealth through the DuPorcelen Logistics Corporation she began as an effort to make use of the piles of contraband confiscated from the bases she neutralized. It is a strong piece of machinery capable of mimicing organic movement almost exactly. On top of the blades hidden inside the hand of the arm, the arm's strong grip and plastoid plates make for profound capabilities in combat as well. The Plastoid plates add weight akin to brass-knuckles when punching, and the grip makes her capable of strangling a person with only that hand. With its use today, it makes her stand out quite well, for better or worse, due to its unique and fashionable design.
