-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "Raven" was first created a week after Katelyn had lost her arm to her father, Josiah Denko, due to her MPD causing her to attack him, making him act in self defense. After this, Katelyn had received a temporary replacement, but Katelyn believed that she could do much better then that. With her knowledge of engineering from hot-wiring and stealing cars as an teenager on Hoth, along with her knowledge of the various metals found throughout the Galaxy. She set to work.

Katelyn first went to a friend of her's [member="Gray Raxis"] for his opinion upon the blueprint she drew up while she was living on his ship. He gave her the advice of looking for more than just metal to be used in the arm, he recommend that she use either Flexsteel or armorweave. Armorweave was more cost-effective but lacked in strength what it had in flexibility. While Flexsteel wasn't as cost-effective yet was a bit stronger than armorweave whilst still being quite flexible, just not as much as the Armorweave. After all, if Katelyn wanted to go through with this plan...she had to consider the best options.

Katelyn then picked through books of armor-making and mandalorian beskar sets. Observing how the armor was composed and held together along with the crushgaunts on the hands. She took some ideas from classic Mandalorian and Beskar armor along with lightweight armor.

Then, their was the problem of adding in a power source for the laser gauntlet she planned. True, it didn't exactly need a power-source...just more of enough room to place in a laser gauntlet. Katelyn did 'trial-and-error' to come up with the idea for the laser gauntlet integration. Testing out different methods for how the gauntlet would fold into the arm, along with how it would effectively fit and shoot without disturbing the inner working of the arm. Katelyn did, eventually find out a way of doing this but she had to stay awake for two days until the test came out perfectly...well almost.

Their was also the problem of making crushgaunts out of durasteel, the strength. Beskar crushgaunts were supposed to crush metal and armored limbs. While durasteel crushgaunts, well they couldn't really crush metal or any heavy armor. But they could possibly break unarmored bones and people possibly wearing lightweight armor. Such as leather armor or armorweave...but this theory had to be tested. Katelyn first made an experimental durasteel crushgaunt and tested it out upon a captured pirate. The results were positive, making Katelyn's theory about how durasteel crushgaunts would and could operate/work true.

(+) Inner Weapon System
(+) Overlapping armor platting
(+) Capable of taking Blunt Impact
(-) Weak at Elbows due to high concentration of FlexSteel
(-) Vulnerable to EMP charges and Stun weapons
(-) Occasional Weapon Misfire
(-) Occasional Malfunctions
Primary Source: N/A

Good evening!

I'll be your judge tonight:

- The Crushgaunt is the only "problem" that I have with the submission. Canonically, they were composed of beskar for good reason: their natural ability required an exceptional metal that could handle the augmented grip strength. So, you've got a few options here. If your intent is to have the canon ability to crush the overwhelming majority of standard metals/items, then you'll need a development thread. You can shoot for alchemized durasteel, beskar, phrik, etc. - anything that will result in a material able to withstand a crushgaunt's canon ability.

Alternatively, you can lower the grip strength of the submission's crushgaunt in response to its being made of durasteel. Scale it down to, let's say, the ability to break unarmored bones and I can pass it.
