STRENGTHSAn Elegant Weapon: A lightsaber is a lightsaber. It is very good at cutting through a lot of substances and materials with frightening ease.
For A Less Civilized Age: The Christophsis crystal amplifies the kinetic energy delivered when the blade impacts against a surface, allowing the wielder to deliver heavier and more forceful blows.
Before the Thunder: The Firkrann focusing lens used in its construction further lends the blade a strong electrical charge, making it ideal for handling droids, heavy augmented cyborgs or similarly sensitive opponents.
Size Matters: Dual phase functionality allows the user to extend or shorten the blade accordingly.
Wetwork: Fully waterproofed and can function underwater should the need arise.
WEAKNESSES
Lights Out: Cortosis can temporarily short out the blade.
Obvious Limitations: Funnily enough, lightsaber resistant materials seem to be just that - lightsaber resistant. Some require more effort, while others are simply beyond the pale of this weapon’s capabilities.
DESCRIPTION
Kaska’s second lightsaber since becoming a Jedi Knight, this current model features several upgrades and improvements on the original. Most notable of which being the decision to utilize a dual-phase design, allowing the wielder to shorten or lengthen the blade to match the situation or environment at hand. A locking stud built below the activator further keeps the blade fixed and ignited at whichever length the user desires.
The saber also incorporates a two-fold mixture of crystals to augment the effectiveness of the blade further, using a Christophsis crystal in conjecture with a Firkrann focusing lens to give it a shockingly strong and decisive impact in more ways than one.
Aesthetically the saber is fairly minimal and conservative in appearance, with a focus clearly placed on functionality over winning style points. Practicality is clearly the name of the game. With that in mind, reinforced duraplast was selected as the primary basis for the casing due to the high durability and EMP resistance it offers. For added grip and protection, it has then been wrapped with dactillion-leather that has been stained dark with norris root extract.
Learning from the tragic fate of her previous saber, this model has also been fully waterproofed and features a bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse to facilitate underwater use if and when required.
Last, but no means least, the blade is a distinctive sea green whilst ignited.
