On The Planet of Kashyyyk...​

 

[Reggie Faayare]

Reggie was meditating in the forest, allowing his mind to be at peace through the force. He was going through his daily rounds of practicing, researching, and relaxing. Before he had traveled through the forest he was thinking of a way to get back to Tatooine in order to see his parents. Without a ship, he was grounded. as he was meditating, he felt something through the force, a opportunity. Someone was coming, and they may assist him.

"All my problems may have been solved!"

He got up and started walking out of the forest.

Above the planet, an old Republic Cruiser pulled out of hyperspace, soon after which, a gunship departed from main hangar for the planet surface, the recognizable sound of an LAAT/i gunship sounded through the atmosphere of the forest planet.

[Reggie Faayare]

Reggie arrived at the Kashyyyk landing zone and waited for his opportunity to arrive. He didn't know exactly what he was looking for, but knew that it would be here. A ship would land and he would have the chance to visit back home. How this would happen wasn't clear and may not happen at all, but Reggie was optimistic about things. why else would the force guide him here anyway? Eventually, he saw a gunship close in.

The sound resounded over the area, the gunship landed on the landing pad. A figure clad in Clone Wars era ARC trooper armor stepped out of the ship, a rather strong force presence surrounded them.

When he saw the man walk out of the ship, his curiousity began to rise. The armor he was wearing were from the clone wars era, so how did he get his hands on such ancient gear? Not only that, but the presence he had in the force was strong. Reggie had many questions, but he suppressed those questions and got to the task at hand. He quickly walked to the trooper, smiling at the man.

"Greetings traveler! If I may ask, what brings you here?"

"The will of the Force," a young sounding voice with a strong Mandalorian accent replied. The thermal detonator on back of the belt that the figure wore had one side open, not easily noticeable but the presence of a Kyber crystal was emanating from it through the force, the detonator was really a disguised lightsaber.

The answer that the man gave made it clear to Reggie that this was the opportunity he was looking forward. This man could help him, he knew he could. He put out his hand, hoping for the trooper to shake it.

"My name is Reggie, it's nice to meet you sir."

Reggie's eye was drawn to the thermal detonator on his belt. He couldn't tell exactly what it was, but it wasn't just a detonator.

"If I may ask, are you a Jedi?"

The Trooper shook his hand, "Yes, I am Jedi Master Alex Firestorm, though most call me Commander Firestorm or Alex on informal occasions."

The man removed his helmet, revealing a Jango Fett clone who physically looked to be 19 years old. "A pleasure to meet you Reggie."

Reggie was amazed when he saw the face under the mask. A Jango Fett clone was something he would never have saw in his life, especially since there aren't an abundance of them in the galaxy. Not only that, but this man was also a Jedi. He didn't know that clones had access to the force.

"The pleasure is all mine Alex Firestorm!"

After they finished shaking hands, he bowed in respect of the older Jedi. Reggie could learn from this man, but he put that aside for the time being and asked the trooper a question.

"I have a favor to ask you sir. Would you mind taking me to Tatooine? Of course, I don't expect a free ride. I'm willing to pay you if you're willing to help me."

Reggie hadn't spent many of his credits since he became a jedi. The last expensive thing he bought was a speeder bike, which was the idea of his master since he had been spending too much time in his research. He appreciated her wisdom, for if he did not follow her advice, Reggie would be detached from the world.

"Payment isn't necessary, Padawan. I'll take you to Tatooine, I have a Venator in orbit where we can take the time to get to know each other better, I'll arrange for living quarters for you during your stay on board."

Not only was Reggie getting a ride back home, but he was going to learn more about the Jedi trooper in front of him. He was intrigued and had many questions to ask the man, so this was a perfect opportunity to do so.

"Really? Thank you so much, I appreciate your generosity!"

"Follow me," he motioned for Reggie to follow. Alex stepped onto the gunship and climbed into the cockpit, prepping for departure.

Reggie followed the trooper on-board, ready to take off. He would have to send his master a message on telling her that he'd be gone for awhile, but he would tend to that later on. At the moment, he was more focused on the events ahead of him.

"Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out around here sir."

"Alright, and you might want to hold onto one of the rope grips hanging from the ceiling, the ride could get a little bumpy coming out of the atmosphere." The gunship took off and headed for the Venator-class Star Destroyer, or more commonly known as a Jedi/Republic Cruiser during the Clone Wars. The gunship then entered the Venator's main hangar, where it landed and Alex climbed out of the cockpit as the Gunship's blast doors opened.

Reggie held onto one of the ropes as advised. The ride was bumpy, but nothing he couldn't handle. When they arrived at the main hanger, he followed the trooper out of the cockpit through the blast doors. He was intriguer by the ship. His knowledge wasn't extensive when it came to transportation, but he knew that ti was unique. Reggie believed that he knew how, but he decided to ask the question anyway.

"This is some cruiser you have here. I've never seen one like it, where did you obtain it from?"

"I woke up on board it, the ship itself was hit by a rogue ion storm causing it to drop out of hyperspace back during the Clone Wars, I was being transported in a cryopod, which had a back-up generator for itself. The generator eventually ran out of fuel to use and caused the cryopod to enact and emergency shutdown and release sequence, after that, I had to repair the ship's functions with the help of a few reactivated maintenance droids."

Alex headed for the elevator which would take them to the living quarters. "So what Jedi faction are you a part of?"

"That must have taken some time. Do you remember anything before being transported in the cryopod? You don't have to answer if you don't wish to, i'm just curious."

His curiosity was getting ahead of himself again. The questions would most likely keep coming until he was asked to stop, or he was satisfied.

"I remember everything, I was an Advanced Recon Commando, or ARC trooper, in the Republic's army, back before Order 66, which I learned about not too long ago since I was put into stasis before the rise of the Galactic Empire under Palpatine's rule, I had the inhibitor chip removed immediately after, although it seems my innate connection to the force would have overridden it anyway if it was activated."

They take the elevator up to the living quarters where Alex escorts Reggie to an open room, then steps inside, taking a seat in a chair, a comm station was on the wall next to him.
