Strengths & Weaknesses

+ Behind The Mask: Kasa is a very manipulative person and will go great lengths to ensure a situation is in her favor. Behind this false persona, a very calculative mind observes and absorbs as much information as it possibly can about anything and anyone of interest. Despite her appearance, she can come off as genuinely understanding and diplomatic; however, what she truly seeks is purely malicious and never for any selfless cause.

+ Scorn: Being of small frame and build, Kasa does not let this anatomical fact discourage her from becoming an embodiment of rage and cruelty. While her fighting style is wild and chaotic, there is a flow and a method to the madness. It most notably takes inspirations from that of Ataru, as she draws on her own inner darkness to assist her aggressive front in combat scenarios. Striking without traditional style or care for fairness, her goal is to destroy.

+/- Connected: Drawing on the power of the Dark Side of the Force, Kasa empowers herself to make up for her lack in other areas where she is not superior. Where she finds a diminished result in physical aptitude, she strengthens herself through radical zealotry and a twisted sense of morale. She will not go down easily, and even refuses help due to her overwhelming ego.

- Prion Disease: Kasa has very outlandish beliefs opposed to many among the Sith or Jedi establishments, and that just happens to be the dedication of consuming victims and more specifically those of the Force in the pursuit to extend her reach into the Dark Side in order to establish a deeper power and influence within it. Due to her lifestyle, she suffers from a neurodegenerative disorder and tries to maintain a full grasp on herself by frequently attempting to use the Force to stave off this drawback.

- Banished: In her past, Kasa was once part of the Jedi Academy, but due to her strange obsession with that of the forbidden arts, along with her actions and evidence of murder and influence under a more twisted belief of the Force, she was forcefully exiled and booted to the far reaches of the Outer Rim, warned that she would be an enemy of the Order if she were to ever return.

- Chaotic: Due to her Force training not being seen through to full competency, Kasa relied on herself to further train and pursue the knowledge of the Dark Side completely alone. Due to this, she has a very broken and odd approach to how she utilizes her abilities; however, she is not to be considered weak or unteachable by any means. Her principals and methods are merely a bastardized and abominable manifestation of her days as a Jedi, making her quite rough around the edges in terms of notable or traditional qualities.

Appearance: Kasa has always been a very distanced individual, even since her youth, she cared not for what measures of society sought in females. Her hair was never pulled back or put up, and she never liked to show her face much. An outcast and a loner, there wasn't much to really notice about her appearance aside from being very conservative and closed off.

Biography

- Youth -

A somber tone has always been the looming theme for Kasa Shii's life, from childhood to adolescence, a gray shroud blanketed everything without ever allowing a shining moment to surpass the strangeness that she found within her own world of confusion and a lack of color. Time never once stood still so that she may live in a moment of peace or happiness, instead she found herself moving much too hastily - or being forced to develop as much as she could as a woman without much to spare. Her father was a quiet, depressed man that hardly spent time with her and drank himself into a slumber each and every night that she could remember.

Her mother however, she was something more lively and detrimental. An already burnt bridge barely connected mother and daughter; one that Kasa was, at most times, too afraid to cross due to an awkward unease. Tantrums and bipolar outbursts disturbed the family often and left Kasa's father in a position of not caring and even contemplating abandonment. Love in such a marriage was non-existent, and the only real emotion Kasa could grasp from it all was resentment and anger. Angry because she herself felt she had done something wrong to enable these shortcomings, but never knowing exactly why.

Everything felt lifeless and alone, each night trying to sleep inviting dreams and thoughts of shame or guilt for things she felt responsible for. The failure of her parent's marriage, their living condition, everything. But there was little to nothing that could be done on anyone's part to magically fix such commonplace issues that occurred in the daily lives of many people across the galaxy. However something could have been done to allow Kasa a different outlook on life, but greed and betrayal of kin distorted the prospect. Niece to a noble Atrisian, Kasa had only ever met the man once. And once was all there was to ever be.

He was the reason her parents had fallen into debt, and the very reason the family would never be the same again. Broken home, broken souls, a life of misery and trauma was all that was left in their stomachs and in their pockets. A Sith he was, a monster of a man that took everything and only wanted more. Vile and wretched acts took place on a day that was supposed to be one of great fortune and generosity, but was no more than an ugly truth behind a facade.

Simply to ruin life. Her life.

But in it she saw his power, his will.

And in her dreams, this power called to her.

- Pubescent -
As life continued for Kasa Shii, thoughts and ideas that seemed foreign plagued her mind each and every night. Odd fantasies stemming from her childhood after the inevitable collapse of her family's infrastructure and moral alignment fell through into utter bleakness. She felt alone, driven away from the norms of growing up to be something better than what she had already experienced. She felt hopeless. Finding herself among the low lives and denizens of the cheapest, lower realms of Coruscant, a cantina is where a low wage was earned and spent merely on trying to survive. Kindness was not a trait commonly found among the people she met - rather it was racism and cruelty. The only thing darker and colder than the hearts of the scum that thrived off the weak was her living quarters; however, it was affordable and the only real sanctuary away from the streets at night.

No friends, no more relatives, there was virtually nothing going for Kasa Shii's life except a droning monotony. Just as she had experienced in her childhood, the only thing more true than the reality she lived in was the dark cloud of disappointment hanging over her head at all times. The only thing she actually began to look forward to each night she went to sleep were the dreams in which she pictured a garden growing. Abundant life and beauty that she had never once came close to, but something was always amiss. A darkness began to consume all of it and turned beauty into morbid curiosity. Each of these dreams ended in the same way with nothing but a void that spoke to her in the voice of either her mother or father about something almost incomprehensible.

But alas, each morning was yet another routine of loneliness and struggle. Until one day at work.

The usual company of patrons sat quietly to themselves, with the exception of a cloaked figure frequently caught glancing at Kasa Shii. This was exceptionally strange to her, on the behalf that most never found her interesting enough to socialize with or spare a moment to observe her in the way this stranger had. Upon finally approaching this anomalous presence among the typical, Kasa felt something strange stir inside her very being. Every fiber seemed to come alive, and a sensation unlike any other sent a chill down her spine. And that was when the stranger drew back their hood and gave the young woman a curt nod paired with a warm grin.

This caught Kasa by surprise and left her somewhat stunned, unsure of how to appropriately respond other than returning a subtle, awkward bow. The man explained himself and told Kasa how she possessed a certain gift that was sought by the Jedi Order, and asked if she would consider accepting training to better pursue the gift of the Force. Without any form of reluctance, she agreed.

The very offer to leave behind scars and a life of broken memories was not something to be second guessed. A ray of light finally broke through the gray, and a sense of relief lifted the weight of the world from the girl's shoulders.

But yet, something inside the back of her skull tugged and swarmed. Growing, trying to reach out.

- 4 Years Later -

By the age of 23, Kasa Shi had become quite a gifted practitioner of the Force, and better yet, her skill with that of a lightsaber was exceedingly brilliant. A capable duelist and an even more helpful and respected addition to the Jedi Order, life had finally taken a turn for the better; however, her master felt something within the young woman was ambiguously insidious, yet too shadowed in the recesses of her character to be fully understood. The way she carried herself was still unusual - shady, even. Over the course of her progress as a Jedi, Kasa was increasingly aggressive and was even noted to hold a connection with the Dark Side of the Force. Her raw and apathetic approach to situations and even others in training was unsettling and tense at best. The stronger she grew, the more distant and mischievous she became. Her master constantly tried to steady the young padawan, but ultimately it led to Kasa lashing out of repressed anger.

Days turned into nights and more of the bizarre dreams occurred, becoming more intense than ever. The peaceful garden she had previously cherished as a sort of escape was now a rotten and decayed distortion of murder and carnage. Nightmarish creatures and desolation replaced sunny skies and the scent of clean air, the odor of crimson and carrion plagued the landscape as far as the eye could see. This frightened Kasa Shii, and she tried to wake up, but to no avail. Her mind was bombarded with messages to consume, to become a servant of the Dark Side and to fulfill what was her destiny. This sent the young woman into a coma-like state where her memories and life were ripped apart again and again until nothing remained but a husk.

Hollowed and robbed of any innocence or the one fond memory of leaving Coruscant's underbelly, Kasa was now utterly consumed in a delirium. Unable to wake until a couple of days after this had happened.

When the padawan came to, she seemed entirely different. Her master watched over a majority of the time while she was unconscious and felt an evil brewing inside of her very soul. But he desperately tried to push this fact aside and hid it in the hope that the woman was strong enough to resist such a descent into what could only be likened to madness. What transpired after her awakening was disturbed at best, and even more heart-wrenching for her master to witness.

Kasa's outbursts of anger and confusion became much more prevalent and increasingly difficult to control. During a sparring session she went as far as brutally mauling a fellow padawan until they sustained multiple lacerations and even what could only be identified as wounds caused by teeth. When confronted about the incident, Kasa only responded with animosity and a blatant disregard for the nature of her actions. It was almost as if she had lost the will to care, or even the capacity.

The master of the young woman was brought before the council and talked to about her painstakingly obvious retraction from that of the Light Side and purposeful disobedience towards the very nature of the Jedi as a whole. And without much hesitation from the rest of the council and the very man that brought the young woman in, an exile was to be put in effect to cease any chance of an influence or further bloodshed.

She did not go quietly into that night.

Anger fully consumed the padawan, hunger clouded her judgement.

The visions didn't come in dreams anymore.

- Adolescence -

Ten years spent in the wilderness of a desert planet without a name, ten years murdering natives and consuming their flesh to survive. Kasa Shii earned a feared presence among the villages of many across an otherwise desolate realm. Nights and days locked inside her own mind, sinking deeper into the fathoms of the Dark Side and how it controlled her. Viscera across a dying landscape was what she had seen in her fever dreams, and now it ultimately became reality. Everything was fitting together like an abstract puzzle, and the woman's morbid nature and curiosity only grew tenfold as the past of her childhood and former self died. The only thing relevant that was held in the thick of darkness inside Kasa Shii's mind were her parents. Mainly her mother.

This fueled her rage and only solidified her distance from what little self-restraint she learned from the Jedi Order. One thought stuck out to her, and that was the idea of if she were never born at all.

Kasa Shii's reign of terror did not cease, and the natives of the nameless realm even began to worship and bend before her ferocity and hunger. Control washed over them like a silent macabre wave. Fear was Kasa Shii's greatest accomplishment and tool. She had successfully broken an entire community to her will and she relished in the very notion that she had such a capability. For the first time she felt something akin to happiness, true happiness.

With power as vile as hers, offerings and sacrifice were made by the remaining natives. The youngest and most tender flesh was made into meals, and they too embraced the practice of cannibalism. They had adopted this wretched woman as their very own queen, yet all they had to offer to such a grandiose being was their rusted domain and flesh of their people. Their praise and thanks only further influencing her disturbed ego to thrive. What technology they held in their possession was kept sacred and hidden, but with their chosen leader, she demanded it be brought to her.

Components and scraps of various origins were at her disposal, namely from abandoned or crashed ships and older droid models. From this a very crude lightsaber was assembled, one with a cracked crystal found among the salvage of parts. The blade itself spat and hissed with a dark crimson fire, dancing with and reciprocating her inner anguish. The hilt itself was jagged and twisted in appearance with bits of rusted durasteel and exposed components. She wrapped it in a midnight fabric and finally adopted the weapon as an extension of her authority. Her transformation was complete, and from the tongues of the natives that knelt before her, she was dubbed their savior, their goddess.

And from the flesh of many they would feast.

- 1 Year Later -

An expedition team touched upon the face of the planet and sought it to be a find for the purpose of commercial expanse and charting out what was thought to be uninhabited. Upon setting up a base of operations from within their very ship, they set foot upon the mostly desert world. Structures of twisted metals could be seen in the distance, and curiosity could only be the catalyst to push them further to investigate the odd formation on the horizon. Upon making contact with the structure, something felt off to the team. Around the base of the building was evidence of bones and what could only be identified as half-eaten corpses.

And that was when the realization of something being incredibly wrong truly set in. But it was far too late.

The twisted gates of the structure opened and from within its unnatural darkness stood a female figure. No words were spoken, only the ignition of the foul blade from her lightsaber. This both intrigued and disturbed the explorers, and before they could speak, the fiery extension of the woman's scorn pointed towards them. Now understanding the nature of the situation, they attempted to run back to their ship. But to no avail.

Through the Force, Kasa forced them to their knees and emitted a strange hissing noise that summoned forth the rest of her congregation. Men and women twisted by the very darkness of their majesty crawled on all fours towards their new prey, wrestling each of them into the sands and feasting upon their flesh. A feast for her children and servants, and for her as well. Blood and carnage littered the interior of the jagged rusted building, bones littering the floors and stairs that led to an even more obscure interpretation of a throne.

Skulls and torn cloth along with parts of ships formed a seat for Kasa Shii, a place where she went to be alone inside her own mind. Seeking further knowledge and teachings from what she interpreted as the true nature of the Force. But now it was time for this community to be abandoned, and for the pilgrimage back to the core worlds to begin. Beginning a systematic slaughter of the wretched and miserable remaining natives, Kasa Shii fed upon their flesh and gained as much strength as she could before her departure. Upon finding the ship the expedition team had arrived in, she entered and never even gave a second thought to look back on the time spent in this prison.

A new dawn would come for Kasa Shii, and she would have her revenge upon those that turned their backs on her so soon and easily. She would show them how the Force spoke to her and had chosen her as a vessel to carry out its true desires.

Her dreams came true in the end...
