APPEARANCE:
Aside from casual clothing Kanis always has a bandage or scarf around her eyes to hide how scared they are from her accident. She also carries around a walking stick to help her move, even though she has a droid that helps her to see where she'd going as well.
BIOGRAPHY:
Kanis Thorin grew up on the planet Jakku where life was pretty harsh every day. Along with hot weather, sand traps, and tons of things that could eat you she and her family had to deal with being junkers, scavengers and selling what they could for food. Not to mention all the mercs, thugs and bounty hunters who tended to stop by for payments and parts for their ships. Although as bad as it was Kanis was lucky to have her parents with her, as well as "Clunk" her gonk droid the family had salvaged and kept as a friend.
Things took a bad turn however when raiders had come to their village and attacked, wanting the scavenged parts for themselves. During the fighting Kanis became too insistent on making sure Clunk was safe, given he could not move very fast. As she saved him she returned only to see both of her parents killed in the melee. The shock had unleashed Kanis' force abilities, something she regretted not knowing sooner if ti meant saving them, which some of the raiders noticed. Two tried to capture her in the hopes of selling her as a slave but she fought back, forcing one to fire a blaster. The bolt had ricocheted and scarred Kanis' eyes, blinding her.
When it was over not only could Kanis no longer see but she was alone with only Clunk as the closest thing to family. Bitter and angry there was nothing she could do but continue her life, questioning her odd abilities.
