ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Drop Pod Bays
  • Bes'uliiik Drop Hangar
  • Compartmentalized Power and System design
Strengths:
  • Flex-Tube Missile Launcher: Where most large capital ships prefer to have dedicated missile tubes for particular types of missiles, the Kandosii-Type IV does the opposite. All missile tubes are designed to fire a variety of different ordinances, allowing for switching missile types on the fly as needed.
  • Compartmentalized Build: Split into several sections throughout the ship, each section has the ability to function on its own should the ship come under electronic attack or should some areas become destroyed, allowing for a longer fight in bloody space brawls.
Weaknesses:
  • Limited Gun Movement: With all of its anti-capital ship weapons directed forward they have a limited range of movement, being completely incapable of firing behind it, leaving its engines open to attack from capital ships
  • Communication Tower: While not as vital as the bridge, the communication tower, like on the Ash'amur II is the focal point of data transmition for the ship. Destroying the tower severely cripples its ability to see the battlefield and coordinate with the fleet.
  • Cameras and Sensors: Dotted throughout the hull of the ship are various cameras and sensors that paint a picture of the outside world for the integrated bridge. Extensive hull damage can literally blind the ship before it is actually destroyed.
Description: A ship designed from the ground up to be a mainline ship-to-ship brawler for the Mandalorian Empire's new ambitions, the Kandosii-Type IV is the latest in a long line of Kandosii-Type dreadnoughts utilized by the Mandalorians. Slightly redesigned to more easily accommodate atmospheric flight the large and unwieldy belly superstructure that in previous models held hundreds of missiles was removed in favor of slightly better maneuverability. Like many newer Mandalorian ships, the new Kandosii-Type IV Dreadnought also sports a completely integrated bridge and a compartmentalized design that keeps the ship shooting even if the hangar and engines are dead.

Where the original Kandosii-Type dreadnought put most of its fire power into missiles and medium range turbolasers, the Type IV instead makes use of powerful mass driver batteries and long-range turbolasers. Dotted across its hull are point defense lasers and flak cannons designed to deter starfighters and take out incoming missile fire. Unfortunately, as a more traditional design, the ship's weapons are mostly pointed forward, allowing for some movement such as up, down, forward, or broadside, but the ship's large sensor tower and shape blocks much of the ship's anti-capital ship weapons from firing behind it and even lowers anti-starfighter defenses' effectiveness.
