{(+)} Blessed by the Gods: Kamalani is Force-Sensitive. Trained by her mother's father, a Tuatahi shaman known as a tohunga, she manifests her powers mainly as telekinetics such as Pull / Push and pyrokinesis not unlike Fire Shaping of the Kro Var.
{(+)} Amphibious: Kamalani is a Tuatahi, a breed of near-human that can breathe underwater for an average of 30 minutes. This is in addition to eyes that are adapted to see underwater.
{(+)} Superstrong: Due to living a life where her species has evolved strong muscles to overcome aquatic pressures and resistances, Kamalani is roughly 1.5 times stronger than a typical human specimen of similar build.
{(WEAKNESSES)}
{(-)} Hates the Cold: Due to her species evolving in a tropical climate, her biology cannot tolerate anything below sub-tropical conditions. Especially in cold, autumn to winter like conditions, her body is very likely to some sort of shock or shutdown due to lack of proper biology.
{(-)} Selachophobia: Due to a traumatic incident in her childhood, she has an intense fear of the large, predatory fishes that would constitute as sharks in most aquatic biomes. Similarly, relationships with the Karkarodon species might result in a panic attack for her. Note, this is only for larger, great white-equivalent sharks. Most smaller sharks, such as mako-like sharks do not bother her as much.

{(PERSONALITY)}
Kamalani can come off as a bit of a hothead. She is fierce, strong-willed, and a bit of a loner. Yet, in quiet moments, there is an air of sadness about her, and one of self-anger. Once someone is able to get through to her, she is very kind and very reserved. Overall, she does share the hospitable values of her culture toward fellow Tuatahi tribes, and what few outsiders that have been given the title of an honorary tribesman. {(BIOGRAPHY)}
Growing up, Kamalani had a good life. She was born the daughter of a minor chief on her island. Her mother was her close friend. All around, she was surrounded by love and kindness. Her connections to nature were given instruction by similar kinsmen.But happiness was not to last forever. During a hunting trip with her mother into the ocean, their fresh kill attracted the attention of a large shark. Unable to flee in time, Kamalani's mother sacrificed herself to save her daughter from being prey. Ever since, the young woman has extreme guilt over her mother's death, blaming herself. From this also comes her fear of large sharks.
Kamalani was apart of a small band of resistance that would occasionally caise trouble for the reinstalled Empire on Scarif. That was, until they seem to fall. Yet, new creatures encroach upon the seas of Scarif. Mechanized, hollow things. Soulless. New adventures await...
