DESCRIPTION
"Spring board from some Raykkan Deli's. Started out with a single test shop, jumped to a Galaxy-Wide chain that spearheaded it's way in from the Unknown Regions to the Deep Core. Famous for their Exotic Fresh Cooked Meats and their Moderately Processed and thinly sliced ground meat. Their Flagship Sandwich was a spiced Ash-Ham and slow roasted chipotle swine. With Blue Milk Mozzarella, Obsidian Pickles, New City Neon Mustard and a very light and crisp Maena Lava Bread."

Duro: The location of many of their extensive meat-processing facilities. Many of the orbital cities of Duro have at least a single restaurant with the KalCo stamp of quality. Some of the largest ones have picturesque little alley way-stops, for those with a lifestyle that doesn't fit with the usual restaurants.
Maena: The start of KalCo Cattle, when it was but a little deli. Ugg's Deli. Now Maena is one of the primary sources from which meat and other produce are shipped, before being processed on Duro itself. This is done because of the absence of regulations and taxes on Maena. As long as you are able to survive and thrive there, you will be fine. The shipments of meat that arrives at Maena originate from different, varied sources, but many of them are personally inspected by the Raykkan in charge. Kalak the Raykkan. Only once they receive his personal stamp of approval are they processed further. This is how you know that KalCo Cattle cares.
Nak Shimor: Headquarters of KalCo Cattle. Because of its prime location along the Perlemian Trade Route KalCo Cattle operates one of the largest warehouse districts to streamline exportation of its many trademarked products. Its capital houses an extensive administrative complex from which most of the paperwork and directives originate.
Raykka: One of the prime supply 'n' shipping points of KalCo Cattle. Some of their most famous food recipes can be traced back here and many more of their best products are shipped here for consumption. Similar to Nak Shimor Raykka is seen as an important logistics center for KalCo Cattle from which it serves large swaths of former Hutt space and other adjacent territories.
RATIONALE
The beginnings of KalCo Cattle can be found on Maena around a simple deli fronted by Ugg the Besalisk. Maena had been chosen as the first experimental site for several reasons: lack of regulative oversight, no traditional taxes and above-all Maena has a very diverse population. Sentient species of every kind can be found here and as such it was the perfect place to test out the various recipes and products Kalak had in mind. Once they were proven to be a success, Kal decided that it was time to ride the waves of hype. KalCo Cattle began as TyCo AgriWorks, a large food concern on Duro.
It had a presence in every orbital city of the planet and owned vast tracks of factory ground on the inhospitable surface of Duro itself. Duro had its own benefits: its atmosphere and climate was similar to the one favored by the Raykkans of Raykka, it had a perfect location on the Corellian Run and above all... TyCo AgriWorks was going through some trouble of its own.
Their CEO and founder had been found dead in his penthouse suite on Bburru. Attacked by an animal of sort, or at least so it was suspected because of the many bite and chew wounds on the body.
Kalak the Raykkan stepped in with the backing of the Makesh Cartel and bought out the company during the panic. In the months after that Kalak ensured a smooth transition from primarily crops exportation towards the more industrialized food stuffs flavor of Rayyka.
With the slow-churning collapse of the Iron Lords' control over the region, Kalak decided that it would be safer to move the more administrative decision-making to a different world. Nak Shimor was chosen for this, because of its relative proximity to Duro, its stable government and its prime location along the Perlemian Trade Route.
KalCo Cattle was open for business.
