Strengths
Force Wielding Yinchorri - Unlike many of his kind, Kalani's sub-race has the benefit of Force sensitivity
Lumbering Size - As an alien, and one that is made of thick skin, a hard shell, and large mass, Kalani is not so easily thrown around, and can return the favor by being more of a brute, when he gets going in a fight.

Weaknesses
Lumbering Size - Not the most agile of beings, Kalani is neither quick, nor fast, but has endurance
Specialized Equipment - As a Yinchorri, he is not prone to fitting in starfighters, needing larger vessels to transport him, his hands don't handle normal weapons and he has to use light-club style sabers and very rarely is able to find a blaster he can wield
Sore Thumb - Due to his alien nature and size, he is easily recognizable

Found as part of a Yinchorri refugee group, but not the same as his one-time mentor Vodet , Kalani was brought to the High Republic and the Jedi Temple on Theed to learn the art of ninjitsu of the Jedi. Learning quickly that his skills are more with the esoteric side of the Force, but that his size makes him a great brawler, he is working on blending the two. Able to take a hit and dish some out, he will to protect his friends, but will prefer to use the Force to heal others.
