Location: Drunkenwell, Northern Hemisphere. The city itself lies on one of the largest islands. The city sits about next to the ocean.
Affiliation: Currently ruled and governed by The Jackals
Population: Being a small city there would only be about 100,000 people in this city at one given time.
Demographics: The city has a constant cycle of different species, although the main groups contain Human 20%, Weequay 25%, Trandoshan 10%, Feeorin 5%, Rodian 15%, Wookie 5%, Chiss 10%, Twi'lek 5%, and the last 5% is taken up by various other species.
Description: The city of Kalandra was built from the remnants of a pre-existing town. The Jackals uses their money and resources to build a safe haven for those running from the law. The city offers a refuge for thieves, pirates, murders, dealers and many more types of criminals.
All though the population is made up by those running from enforcers of some kind. The Jackals have set down strict rules to follow in their city. The main rules of society and social constructs apply, but there is a more loose form of justice. This varies from being exiled, imprisonment and death.
The city itself used the old town as its foundations, incorporating and using the town as part of the city. The Jackals build their council chambers over the old town’s town hall.
Eventually the city wasn’t big enough for the growing population of Kalandra, so the city began to grow inland.
History: During the clone wars, Drunkenwell was held by the CIS as a foundry world, and was under Imperial occupation during the Galactic Civil War. Drunkenwell eventually fell victim to the Yuuzhan Vong take over during the Yuuzhan Vong War. There were many labour camps scattered about the continent, these camps grew food. Upon the eventual departure of the Vong, and the terraformation of the planet the survivors eventually transformed the labour camp into a town's. Using the remaining agricultural themed planet, the town became a food distributor.
After the Protectorate invaded Drunkenwell and caused the Confederacy to flee, leaving even their own citizens, most of Drunkenwell's infrastructure was destroyed. The civilian population was left devastated, and it's number had been reduced by hundreds of millions. The towns that weren't crushed by debris, or hurt by the destruction of the shipyards, slowly began to decay, lacking workers and farmers. Towns began to degrade and crumble. This was when The Jackals moved in and began to rebuild using their own personal funds and resources to create the city. Offering a safe haven and aid to the native population and their plights, as long as they could tolerate the semi-corrupt nature of Kalandra.
