Description: Marek Starchaser’s only unique and ‘special’ item in his armory, the Kala Revolver, is an alchemized pistol. The metal from the weapon had come from one of the ancient Starchaser lightsabers, from an old pilot named Coren Starchaser who served the Sith as a Dark Jedi during the time after Palpatine’s reign. With the Starchaser legacy reaching that far back, they are one of the families who went straight to ground of Corellia and battened up during the Gulag plague. Lost to the cellar labyrinth of their estate on the homeworld, once the galaxy began to reach out to itself again, the fractured family reunited and the history was put into one working path.
And with that reunion, the family fell into disagreements, there were those who wanted an Imperial lifestyle and they took refurbished Imperial Star Destroyer: the Dawn Treader, and left. The others took what they could and made for the Rim. That meant changing tactics. Some of the historical family lightsabers were melted down into slugthrowing revolvers, and the Kala is one specific example. When it was given to Marek when he reached adulthood, he kept it with him more than his lightsabers. Expanding his knowledge of the Force, and the Dark Side, he worked to find the right way to perfect the weapon.
And that brought him on his Terentatek hunt. Using his skills, he killed one of the beasts and modified the horn and metal to accept one another, and to repel the use of the Force on the weapon, and all but the most direct swing from a lightsaber and the pistol would survive. This weapon was going to be accompanying the Sith during the next few years, as he hid his true nature from the galaxy, in plain sight.
