Using Exar Kun’s Grimoire Kaine completed a ritual (in which he tortured a Jedi padawan) to merge a sith blade (the size of a dagger) with a fibercord rope to create “Kai’s Divine Right.” This weapon is a rope dart that can be used defensively against mid to long-range attacks. Offensively, Kaine is able to reach targets as far as fifteen feet away. When used during combat, the weapon is swung around at a high velocity in many different directions. Kaine calculates and manipulates its movement by wrapping the rope around parts of his body. This allows the versatility to; change the length of rope being used in that instance, turn in a different direction, deflect blaster shots, or attack multiple enemies in rapid succession. This weapon requires a lot of movement and hand eye coordination while wielding. The shortfalls of “Kai’s Divine right” lie in the lack of close quarters defense that this weapon provides. The focus this weapon requires also means that abilities that affect the mind of the sith can inhibit his ability to effectively wield the rope dart.
