DESCRIPTION

The katana-style lightsaber known as the Ka'ihe Lā, the Sword of the Sun, was constructed by Kito during a period of self-imposed isolation on the volcanic ridges of Atrisia. The forging process followed traditional Jedi craft, but incorporated newly learned Atrisian smithing methods that emphasized precision and balance.

Kito's choices in crystals would highlight these importances: a Mestare crystal and a Solari crystal, the latter influenced by her natural ability with Fire Shaping. Both crystals were refined and aligned through a controlled shaping ritual to synchronize precisely with Kito's Force signature, ensuring optimal energy performance and harmonic stability.

Structurally, the lightsaber features a slightly curved hilt, modeled after the Atrisian katana and the blades she had seen among her peers with the Lightsworn.

The blade was designed for single-handed combat, enabling fast, controlled strikes and seamless transitions between offense and defense. The balance and the length of the hilt also permit two-handed use when greater leverage or control is required. Typically, Kito uses the lightsaber with its twin, a shorter, curved blade, or, at times when the need calls, she'll wield it with the Odachi, mostly using the latter as a weak guard.

Uniquely, and as of late, the blade has found itself in the hands of another and performs just as effectively as if it were in the hands of its creator. This is through the Force bond shared between Kito and Valaine Valentine. The saber recognizes both as its chosen wielders. This connection allows Valaine to access the same harmonic resonance within the crystal matrix that responds to Kito's presence.

As a result, she can wield the lightsaber with near-identical precision and control. The weapon's energy system identifies her through Kito's imprint, maintaining balance and output stability.

However, this dual attunement depends entirely on the stability of their Force bond. Any emotional or mental disruption between them can cause decreased performance, instability in the plasma flow, or complete ignition failure.

Appropriately wielded, the Ka'ihe Lā functions as a precision instrument optimized for control and defense. Its performance is directly linked to the wielder's composure and connection, and in Valaine's case, the continued connection and Force bond with Kito.
