SPECIAL FEATURES

• Kael's lightsaber is a dual-phase lightsaber, which allows him to extend the blade to approximately 2 meters long.
• It's comprised of a Lignan-Crystal, which enables the blade to burn hotter than a standard lightsaber. This crystal allows the blade to cut through objects more quickly or potentially damage materials/objects more than a normal lightsaber blade due to its modified energy output.
• The Neuranium allows it to be hidden from scanners.
• The locking activator allows Kael to throw the lightsaber hilt and keep the blade activated after it leaves his hand.
• The Diatum power cell allows the blade to stay charged for an extended period.

STRENGTHS

• Blade Output: Kael's blade can be modified to increase the energy output, allowing it to burn hotter. While burning hotter, it can cut through objects more easily than a regular lightsaber blade. It can also enable Kael to deliver more decisive blows, the modified energy output increasing the blade's heat, which in turn can damage an organic/synthetic individual more than a standard blade.
• Blade Length: The dual-phase lightsaber extends the blade to approximately 2 meters by utilizing a different Kyber Crystal for the extended length. This, coupled with the modified blade output, can be a great tool to cut through thicker reinforced material.
• Cortosis-Resistant: The Non-Demetrist Circuit allows the blade to be more resistant to Cortosis, mitigating the likelihood of a short on contact with the material.
• Hidden: The Neuranium can allow the blade to be hidden from scanners more effectively. Kael can use this if he is on a more stealthy mission.

WEAKNESSES

• Complexity: Kael's lightsaber is complex. On the battlefield, if the hilt is damaged, there is a chance that parts of the lightsaber will not work as intended. It also means Kael spends more time on simple maintenance of the hilt so it is functioning correctly.
• Instability: The Lignan-Crystal in the blade was taken from a Dark Side user, and Kael must maintain control of this crystal. Kael must retain control of himself, as this crystal constantly calls to the Dark Side. Lack of emotional control could see this crystal feed Kael's darker emotions, making him lose control.
• Weight: The focused emitter allows the blade to burn hotter and more effectively. However, this means the blade is unwieldy and Kael's attacks are slower.
• Shorts: Kael's blade is at risk of random shorts if exposed to outside electrical interference due to having two crystals powering the blade, a Diatum Power Cell and a Discharge Energy Cell.

DESCRIPTION
Forged during Kael's years in solitude, his lightsaber is a remarkable fusion of ancient craftsmanship and advanced modifications, embodying mystery and precision. The hilt is pale silver, muted, almost ghostly, crafted from a rare alloy that catches moonlight with quiet reflection. Hand‑etched runes spiral along its surface, their meaning known to Kael alone. Dark leather grips add to the appearance with worn textures from his fingers.

A Lignan-Crystal is at its heart and its light pulses with a gentle hum that seems to echo through Kael's soul. The Lignan-Crystal was not found in the wild, but was taken from a duel with a dark sider when Kael was in solitude. After healing the crystal, Kael uses it now as his primary crystal in his saber; its deep, dark emerald color is a reflection of Kael himself. The healing process was strenuous, as the Lignan-Crystal is by nature more attuned to the Dark Side. Kael now spends time during his meditations communing with the crystal, keeping its attachment to the light, and fortifying his bond with it.

A secondary brighter-green Kyber crystal sits within the hilt of the lightsaber. When Kael turns his hilt, activating this secondary Kyber Crystal, the Dual-phase functionality bestows extendable length for the blade when Kael turns the handle to the extended position. This feature is advantageous during combat for Kael, allowing him to shift form and surprise opponents. A Diatium power cell fuels the saber to recycle energy during usage and recharge passively when idle. The Discharge energy cell that accompanies this Lignan-crystal embedded in the lightsaber allows Kael to deliver more powerful attacks while imbued with the Force.

Embedded non-Dimetris circuits, custom-tuned to bend energy flow to allow the blade to continue functioning after contact with Cortosis. A locking activator allows Kael to throw the lightsaber so it stays ignited after it leaves his hand.

Finally, the lightsaber is mainly composed of durasteel, with a slight outer coating of Neuranium. Kael also placed a small compartment at the base of the lightsaber, which allowed a small item, such as a credit chip or small electronic flash drive, etc., to be placed in the hilt. The Neuranium will enable this item to be hidden from most scanners.

All of this adds up to a heavily customized and modified lightsaber blade. While there can be no doubt that the blade gives Kael advantages on the battlefield, it also has its weaknesses. The blade's circuitry is vulnerable to outside electrical impulses like Ion or EMP. It's also a highly complex piece of technology contained within a small area. If there is any significant damage to the exterior of the hilt, it could lose part of its functionality. For Kael to work on the blade, he must be in a dedicated workshop, as field-grade stripdowns of his lightsaber are impossible.
