STRENGTHS
Martially Trained: As a Zabrak, Kael has his roots in the warrior traditions that have endured on Iridonia. Furthermore, he was trained by his uncle in the way of zama-shiwo. Thus, he knows how to defend himself if the need arises.
Politically Minded: As a senator, Kael is mindful towards the needs of the people he represents, and his planet as a whole. In addition, he will also be a vocal mouthpiece of the people of the Alliance as a whole if he feels that his fellow senators need to hear it.
Spiritually Attuned: Sazen was raised in the Church of the Force's faith, and uses their teachings to help guide himself to being a good leader. This also puts him on a good relationship with most Jedi, as their beliefs stem from a similar point. He is also known to use meditation to help calm his mind.
WEAKNESSES
Populist: Senator Sazen aligns himself with the Populist faction within the Senate. He firmly believes in the strength of the Senate over strength in the Chancellor, believing that more power in the Chancellorship is grooming another Empire. As such, he will be hard to come to terms with his Centrist and Imperial Bloc counterparts. He may concede sometimes with the corporatists, if only to create economic policy that benefits the planets and people of the Alliance.
Servant to the Light: As a member of the Church of the Force, Kael firmly believes in the dominance of the light side over the dark. He will be dissuaded and antagonistic toward any organization that worships the dark side, even those that are tolerated by the Alliance.
PERSONALITY
Senator Sazen comes off as a level-headed man, as befitting a senator. He does not allow many things to anger him. He also comes off as rather stern, but fair, and would likely take into account the different points of view of a situation as to create a mutually beneficial solution. He is not without his convictions, however. He strongly puts his beliefs in the Force and the Populist ideology at the forefront, which can lead to some hotly debated issues in the Federal Assembly. BIOGRAPHY
Despite being the current Senator of Prakith, Kael Sazen's story did not start on the ancient fortress-world. Instead, the boy who became senator saw his birth on the reconstituted moon of Jedha. The world had once more become a haven for the various faiths in the Force, and among them were Kael's parents. They were members of the Church of the Force, and had alleged familial ties to a Jedi named Wolf Sazen. Kael himself was not Force-sensitive, but was nonetheless raised in the Church's faith.
For years, he accompanied his parents on missionary expeditions. He carried on with the compassion for the ordinary people of each world he visited, and sought to help any way he can. At the age of 18, Kael settled on the once Sith-ruled world of Prakith, and spear-headed a movement to help its people remove the stain of the Dark Side. He also helped with humanitarian efforts where he could. Eventually, he came to the realization that he could only do so much as a community leader.
Once the Alliance came to Prakith, he immediately started to campaign for the Senatorial seat. He believed that being the voice of Prakith on the Assembly floor could be more beneficial to its needs. He eventually won the seat, and joined the Populists faction within the assembly. He now uses his influence as a Senator to pass laws and try to be the instrument of change that he always envisioned himself to be.
