A top view of the Garrison Base

Intent: To create an interesting environment to which explorers and travelers may use to start out their adventures on Kad V's jungle surface, and to provide the setting for an up and coming mission for Primeval Agent [member="Tyro'din"]. NOTE: There has been no mention of this base existing or being put into effect, or any of the information present within this submission up until this point. However, I take the liberty of forming this history being the original creator of Kad V.

Classification: Army Base/Spaceport (IM-455 Modular Garrison)

Location: Kad V - Surrounded by an unnamed gated community of scientists left over from the massacre in the Research Station in orbit.

Affiliation: Kad V residents/Paramilitary left overs from the Imperial Remnant occupation prior to the Netherworld event

Population:

Personnel
Imperial garrisons were commanded by the Major General and housed 2320 base personnel divided as follows:
  • 100 command personnel
  • 200 support/services personnel
  • 100 technical personnel
  • 800 science personnel/Scientific residents surrounding base
  • 75 medical personnel
  • 50 gunners/weapons technicians
  • 15 walker technicians
  • 0 trade mission/diplomatic personnel (pre-existing personnel absorbed into command)
  • 30 ground crew technicians
  • 15 controllers
  • 15 sensor technicians
  • 3 speeder bike technicians
  • 7 Imperial Intelligence officers (defunct; currently considered secret police)
Combat forces
  • 30 walker crewers
  • 10 TIE fighter pilots
  • 700 soldiers/former stormtroopers
  • 100 perimeter support troops
  • 75 base security/detention troops
  • 25 scout troopers

Defenses: The Garrison is equipped with the standard three heavy twin turbolaser turrets and six heavy laser turrets, as well as tractor beam projectors. Though shielded, the garrison also possesses extensive ground defenses such as anti-infantry and anti-vehicle minefields and a ten-meter high electrified death fence. This has a variable power settings, but is never taking off the setting to fry an individual outright in an instant, due to the frequent Dalek beast attacks that plague the Jungle world.

To get through the fence and into the base, one has to pass through *force field gates. These are flanked by two guard towers with troopers and former stormtroopers on fairly regular duty and positioned evenly around the fence's perimeter. Running behind the fence and parallel to it was an elevated catwalk patrolled by troopers with guard towers (each equipped with electrobinoculars, floodlights, and **alarm systems) spaced about every 100 meters. The guards are no longer in their prime, and have become complacent in their safety within the garrison, despite the horrific beasts that lurked just outside in the jungle. Despite this seeming lax in carefulness, the troops are all hardened veterans for having been stationed in the same garrison on the same hostile world for so long.

If you're ever attacked by a Dalek beast, best hope that one of these troopers are near you to save your butt... but they don't often patrol outside the garrison.

Vehicle complement

Points of Interest: Surrounding the Prefabricated Base that is the Garrison Alpha, is a gated community of scientists that are studying the less hostile aspects of the environment, namely the plant life and smaller fauna of prey.

Description: When the Imperial Remnant came to Kad V, there had already been a community of scientist aboard an research station nestled into the asteroid field of the planet, under the organization known as "I.R.I.S.". They were a band of scientific fugitives from around the galaxy, though primarily from the Republic and the Sith Empire. The Imperial Remnant then occupied this system, and after the massacre in space due to escaped Dalek's, the displaced scientists needed a place to stay while the station was repaired. That place to stay was this Prefabricated base.

History: The Kad V Imperial Garrison Alpha base, has history that dates back to when a band of scientific fugitives from around the galaxy, though primarily from the Republic and the Sith Empire, who wanted to study and experiment scientific endeavors without worry of political retribution, settled this world due to its unique biodiversity, with the extra challenge of building a base with shields strong enough to deal with asteroid fragments surrounding the planet, and missiles powerful and guided enough to shoot away dangerous asteroid impacts. Scientists of all cadres occupied the station, and had even had to deal with the uneasy occupation of the Fel Imperium before it fell, but rejoiced when once again they could claim independence. Eventually however, about the same time that Imperial Remnant came to power within the system, Dalek Beasts brought up for experimentation go loose in the station and massacred the population, leaving few survivors for the Imperial Remnant to rescue. With the orbital station under repairs and under Imperial jurisdiction, a Prefabricated base was landed on planet to house the scientists temporarily. When the Netherworld event sucked away half the galaxies population, the Imperial Remnant abandoned the exotic world, and marooned the units stationed there. The community has recovered since then, and new research programs continue on planet under the protection of the Garrison, which had once been occupied and maintained by the Imperial Remnant that created it. Those who were marooned on the planet, eventually decided to stay, even when presented with technology to leave the system after the Netherworld event, and formed a community.

With the Dalek Beast, can you link that into the submission please. You only mention it very vaguely here. So, link to the beast and add in more detail about them please.

Force field gates - do you have a link for these?

Alarm systems - Can you be more specific here? Alarm systems can mean a lot of things, with many varying types.

I'd also like a dev thread with this submission. 15 posts long, can be solo or with other writers detailing the work that is done here, what patrols look like and so on. Just a day in the life of normal operations, please.

I forgot to link that under the model category.

As for the dev thread, may NPC's unrelated to this character be used to complete this if still required?
 
Thank you for the reference. Could you actually link that up in the submission stating what you did above in the post above, like as a footnote. Just so anyone has a clear indication of what they are up against. Or maybe just add some personal detail of what you think the alarm systems would be like.

Since it is based off the canon version, I'll drop the dev thread. Please just add it above as I mentioned for clarity's sake for others.
