Originally conceived as a somewhat simple blade capable of being used to significant effect against machines and electronics, Kad Shukalar Solegote are blades imbued with the strange and peculiar ability of endowing the wielder with an unnatural control over electronic systems.
Forged in the same manner as all Force Imbued Blades, but using techniques honed for use on Beskar, Kad Shukalar Solegote begin with a base alloy comprised primarily of Ionite and Lathanide. Worked, folded, and worked again, over and over while carbon nanotube structures are added to the alloy to promote strength, a complex molecular crystal matrix is soon adopted by the blade. Once the extensive hand-forging techniques are almost complete, a crystal saturated in the Force is affixed to the weapon at the hilt. From here, the forger then spends a considerable amount of time meditating upon the blade, willing subtle changes into its base structure as the crystal lattice of the crystal and the metal are fused. During this time, the forger is attuning the blade to the living force, saturating it with the energy that flows through and connects all things.
Once this meditative process is complete, the blade undergoes several advanced treatments before completion. The first and simplest alteration to the blade is to use a high precision Beskar Lathe to shave the sword down to a mono-molecular edge. From here a coating of Svolten Rhyolite (a long held secret of Sith Swordsmiths) is applied to the edges of the blade, endowing the sword with the unique ability to not lose its mono-molecular edge after use. The next process is to carve out precisely designed runic symbols (and a touch of ornamentation) into the flat of the blade. These runic symbols are from the ancient Taung language and effect the force in such a way as to channel very precise manipulations of the force through the symbols and material medium itself. Into these engravings, molten Electrum is poured and pressed, then shaved, polished, and sealed with a light mixture of Norris Root powder and Ori'ramikad resin to protect the decorative metal from being damaged by the sort of thermal and kinetic stresses the blade is intended to endure.
Paired with the blade is a somewhat simple sheath made of Mandalorian Steel and decorated with Electrum ornamentation.
More than just a sharp stick, Kad Shukalar Solegote possess many peculiar attributes. The most easily recognizable effect of these blades is their peculiar effect on shields and simple electronics. The metal from which these are constructed is renowned for its ability to hold an exotic energy charge instead of the simple positive and negative charges most engineers are familiar with. This charge caused localized failures in shield projections touched by the blade and fried electronics touched by the blade. One solid strike from these blades could shock and stun a living person or stun and disable a droid. And, through the power of the Force, this ability was enhanced to unnatural levels. The first of these enhancements came courtesy of the specific crystal chosen for these force imbued blades. A shard of a native of the planet Hurikane, the crystal enhances the blade's natural ability to penetrate defenses and enables the blade to more effectively penetrate force barriers. The second, and far more unusual enhancement, comes from the mystical techniques of the Jal Shey. Masters of force imbuement, Jal Shey could weave particular spells and mystic effects into their creations, beyond the relatively simple enhancements created by most force adepts. It is in this method that these blades are enchanted to bestow the wielder of these swords with unnatural control over nearby electronics.
Through Jal Shey Enchantment, the effects of the ancient Mechu-Deru ability saturate the very metal of the weapon. The technique, a thing Mishka had first learned about thanks to her explorations of some unnamed Sith Lord's Holocron, blesses the wielder of a Kad Shukalar Solegote with intuitive understanding of mechanical systems and allows the user to exert Technopathic influence over mechanical and electronic systems. Through this, the user was able to impose radical alterations to machines, overwhelming their internal circuitry, causing significant change to a machine's physical structure and programming, and bending it into an extension of the user's will. When used by a skilled force user, this enables the wielder of one of these blades to create radical, sometimes illogical alterations to machines they damage with the sword (such as turning cybernetic arms into a jumble of 'possessed' tentacles intent on attacking the wearer of said arm).
