[+]Agile and Flexible (Racial): Like all Mirialans, Kaasi Muul is uncannily agile, quick and flexible. He is capable of extreme acts of acrobatics, and seemingly impossible dodges, this of course in part to his use of the Force.
[+]Way of the Hawkbat (Combat): Taking advantage of his inherent agility, Kaasi Muul is a fierce practitioner of Ataru, his skills with the difficult and physically taxing form of lightsaber combat is well-known.
[+]Use Your Feelings (Force): The Mirialan, even from an early age showed great aptitude for utilizing the sensory powers of the Force. He is particularly keen at sensing presences in the Force, and the rare ability of Force Sight, even occasionally demonstrating the ability to fight without the use of his physical sight.
[~]The Basics (Jedi): Kaasi Muul is a trained Jedi Knight, and as such he is average in the basic core powers and skills all Jedi Knights are expected to have. (i.e. Telekinesis, Telepathy, basic knowledge of lightsaber forms, piloting, first aid, etc.)

APPEARANCE:
Kaasi Muul at a glance, a typical Mirialan. His green skin, lithe figure, inky black hair and face tattoos are all typical of his species. His face is angular, with prominent, deep purple eyes. On his face are a set of black, geometric patterns that tell other Mirialans of his achievements. It is one piece of his culture that he learned through association, and one he pridefully continues.
The Jedi Knight's clothing tends to be a bit flashy. While not expensive, it is generally kept quite nice. He often wears flexible, form-fitting combat suits that are typically in dark blues and blacks. He usually wears a dark-colored shoulder cloak, with shined boots and a sturdy utility belt. When wearing the robes of a Jedi, he prefers dark browns and blacks.
BIOGRAPHY:
Beginnings
Many beings across the galaxy are not born in to safe, traditional and loving homes, the same could be said for Kaasi Muul. He was born the second child of Mirx Muul, a Black Sun Vigo with a reputation for cruelty, and his wife Dejuh. His older sister, Meru looked after him while their parents ran the family's section of the infamous intergalactic crime organization. Kaasi's first memories were of his soft-spoken sister and an illustrious home. He saw his parents few times, typically the pair of offspring were tended to by a few droids and hired servants. Little in the way of love and care was shown to the younger Muuls. Kaasi grew up speaking Basic, his sister would occasionally intertwine Mirialan in to her daily teachings of the infant Kaasi, but even she was never fully fluent.
In those early years, Meru tried to shield the small, quiet boy from the monstrous, evil ways of their parents. She was just old enough to know how terrible the Vigo she called father was, but just young enough to have hope that their life would get better and safer. She wouldn't know how wrong she was for a few years.
As Kaasi turned from infant to toddler, he displayed an innate curiosity and an aptitude for finding trouble. Meru would often spot him trying to climb out windows or balancing on high guard rails, but the interesting thing was the small Mirialan would never fall, as if he had some kind of magical power of balancing. Occasionally she would stand very close and watch his feats of infantile acrobatics in awe, but always ready to catch him.
As time wore on, Mirx and Dejuh spent more time at home, not with their children necessarily, but close by. Mirx began having more and more armed thugs, stationed around the house and it's grounds. Suddenly the children were even assigned an armed guard as well. Something was up, and Meru began to worry.
Her worries came to a head during a stormy night. All Kaasi would come to recall was a cacophony of screams,blaster fire, seeing his father lying on his back with his face torn apart, reaching for him and uttering phrases in Mirialan, of course these all would come to him in nightmares. The reality of the situation was that Mirx had made powerful enemies in the Black Sun and they had come calling. Mirx had been killed in the ensuing firefight, Dejuh was murdered in her sleep, and Meru had been beaten to death after hiding four year old Kaasi in a closet.
Kaasi was found by investigators two days later and promptly put in the system as a ward of the Republic. Though during a medical screening, the young boy was tested for midichlorians, he showed an exceptionally higher than normal count in his blood and a Jedi Master was promptly called in. After passing a few tests, some physical and others mental, he was deemed Force Sensitive.
Way of the Jedi
Soon after arriving at the Jedi Temple, Kaasi Muul was put in a youngling clan with others of his age. It took him a while, but soon after coming out of his shell, the young Mirialan proved to be a bright and ever curious student. As he trained in the basics of becoming a Jedi, he developed a fine tuned sense in the Force and exhibited the rare ability to "see" through it. He used it at first to impress his classmates, guessing their locations even through the thickest of blindfolds. During training with remote droids, he was hailed as best in his class, defeating even some of the Knight-level training modes.
As his skills developed, he was noticed by a young Jedi Knight named Aris Junta. Junta had a reputation as a maverick, and a master of Ataru. He saw Kaasi's innate skill set and deemed the youngling a perfect match for him. At the age of ten, Kaasi Muul was officially made his Padawan, and the two began a twelve year mentorship that would come to mold the young Jedi's path.
War: The Devastation of the Sith
Four years of Kaasi Muul's training under Aris Junta, and the Mirialan had accomplished much. The pair had been acclaimed across the farthest reaches of Republic Space as liberators of slaves and the scourge of pirates. Kaasi had developed a reputation as a maverick right alongside his master. The pair were both a thorn in the side of the Jedi Council and counted among the more accomplished Jedi at the same time.
But, things could only go well for so long. Soon enough, the pair found themselves smack dab in the middle of a war. The Sith had returned, and with them came a devastating onslaught that nearly brought the Republic to its knees. Kaasi and Aris found themselves fighting battles across the galaxy. No longer were they freeing slaves and arresting pirates, now they were turned in to warriors and leaders, no longer peacekeepers and saviors. They watched as many of their comrades were either killed or driven to dark ways. Young Jedi would later ask Kaasi Muul if he had killed during the war, while he would avoid the question, the answer was truly yes. During vicious fighting, he had used his powers to take lives, he fought desperate and terrible battles as a teenager that outside of the Jedi Order would have been deemed far too young to even purchase a weapon, let alone use one to kill.
Many terrifying and brutal battles would come to give the young Jedi plenty of nightmare fuel. There were times when he nearly broke, but through the comforting teachings and talks with Aris, he persevered. As the war began to wind down, Kaasi and Aris were called from the battlefield to help with humanitarian and rebuilding missions on worlds that had been devastated by battles.
Helping people again brought Kaasi Muul back to a state of peace, but it also made him privy to the ineptitude of the Galactic Republic to adequately provide for the people that had been terrorized by war. It caused him to examine his experiences during the war. He began to realize many of the Sith victories and horrors could have been stopped if the Republic hadn't been so slow and reactionary. He joined a growing sentiment of discontent with the corrupt and ineffective Republic, his Master eventually followed suit. The pair were eager to join the fledgling Galactic Alliance that came to all but replace the Republic as it faded.
A New System: The New Jedi Order and Service to the GA
Upon pledging themselves to the New Jedi Order, Aris was promotes to Jedi Master and Kaasi Muul was seen fit to be knighted. The Galactic Alliance and the New Jedi Order were far more proactive than their predecessors. The centralized government was done away with, and replaced by a coalition of allied worlds. The NJO Jedi Knights were dispatched through the territory to keep the peace and order. The war still played in the background, Kaasi Muul found himself more at peace. He only participated in battles against the Sith if he was called to do so, instead preferring to help the member worlds rebuild and reorganize.
