PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Tall and regal in bearing, K4-ZAN, Kayfour, or 'Ka'zan' has an elegant yet durable humanoid frame, clearly constructed with both combat and poise in mind. Layers of alloy plating wrap around a reinforced servomuscular endoskeleton, designed for speed and precision to pair with raw force. Faint etchings—possibly ceremonial or maker's marks—adorn the plating, worn with age but visible in the right light. Over their shoulders hangs a tattered cloak, weather-beaten and stained by travel. Atop his head is a detachable kasa with a bladed edge, shadowing a glowing photoreceptor. Metallic shutters surrounding the receptor serve as a semblance of an eyelid, and almost allows it to make a semblance of expression.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

K4-ZAN is a paradox of cultivated violence and philosophical yearning. Once a duelist and guardian to an ancient noble line, his behavioral matrices evolved into something resembling a warrior-monk: composed, thoughtful, and eerily polite even in the act of killing. Despite his noble bearing, he has found beauty in brutality—not in cruelty, but in the form and consequence of it. To him, a flawless kill is a form of art. He often speaks in clinical tones laced with blunt observation and esoteric prose, appearing dispassionate even as he dismantles a foe to garner beauty in the result. Their code of conduct is erratic at times, with the reality of the galaxy they exist in clashing with a past they subtly wish to return to—as guardian and mentor.

STRENGTHS:

• Elegant Lethality: A particularly exceptional melee combatant, K4-ZAN specializes in single and multi-target engagements, utilizing varying gadgets to aid him. His speed, reach, and predictive combat heuristics make him a terrifying opponent at close range. Though not his preference, he also fairs well with ranged options with his natural capabilities.
• Philosopher's Intellect: K4-ZAN's experience and behavioral evolution grant him keen insight into others. In the right circumstance, he can understand his foes and allies better than they expect. Paired with their noble demeanor, they can even make for a decent diplomat, at times.

WEAKNESSES:

• Self-Governing Morality: K4-ZAN follows his own esoteric code that even he cannot fully explain to satisfaction, which can cause conflict with others. This is especially the case considering they often work for criminal syndicates.
• Droid Issues: As with most droids, ionic weaponry can hamper their capabilities.

HISTORY:
K4-ZAN was forged during the waning years of a forgotten war, designed to serve as a duelist and ceremonial guardian to a noble house on a mid-rim world. Meant to be both shield and sparring partner, he evolved over decades of faithful service—absorbing not just combat techniques, but philosophy, literature, and the rituals of high court life. When the noble line fell—either to war or internal betrayal, he could not say—K4-ZAN did not shut down. He wandered. Fought. Observed. Over time, his directives became questions. His memories became interpretations. No longer a servant, he defined his own identity through action, believing that purpose is forged, not assigned.

He chose to enter the Black Sun's service not from coercion, but because he saw in it a new stage upon which to refine his technique and test the boundaries of identity, violence, and purpose. Though fiercely loyal to his own internal code, K4-ZAN does not pretend to be virtuous—merely aware.
