Description:
The Jyn-class adjustable drydock is an orbital drydock that was born from the realization that several major faction projects involved building ships that were either wider or higher than 1 km. As with its smaller predecessors, it is a drydock designed to fit the ship being built, rather than the other way around as is usually the case with other drydocks. It comes equipped with a complete array of shipyard equipment, including G2-GS beamdrills, lathes, cranes, mills, welding machines, hydrospanners and so much more. The central boom at the top contains the housing quarters for the crew as well as for the engineers and mechanics, and housing space for repair, mechanical and astromech droids. With the electrically-actuated hydraulic technology being mounted on it, ten adjustable braces, each capable of docking twelve tugs on the outer side, can fully extend in three minutes. Also, if a Jyn drydock comes under attack, the hyperdrive can allow the drydock to escape to friendly space with the ship inside escaping with it.
